Hello Division 66! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Bailey and I am your 2015-2016 Lieutenant Governor. I would like to thank you for electing me as your Lieutenant Governor! I am honored to be serving such an enthusiastic and passionate division.

Key Club opens many doors for me and (hopefully) for you. I am able to gain leadership skills and friendships. Most importantly, Key Club grew my passion to serve, to make our community a better place. As a Lieutenant Governor, I hope I will be able to achieve my goals and ideas, to unite Key Clubbers, to become a family who are proud n’ willing to serve. Recently, many Key Clubbers from our division attended the 2015 District Convention in Seattle. I hope all of you were able to gain many leadership experiences and came back as a more confident person. I am very thankful for your support throughout the whole weekend, and of course, your great behavior and respect to not only me, but others as well. I hope to see you all (and more) again at DCON 2016! With my new term, I am excited to meet each and every one of you. You are the reason why Division 66 is so strong. I would like to thank Brian Le, our Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor, for being a great leader and role model to Key Clubbers all around. He will be graduating this year, and I know he will succeed in everything he wants to achieve. Best of luck to him!

Please feel free to talk to me whenever you’d like. Whether it’s 4 pm or 3 am, I will be there for you. Thank you, Division 66 for giving me this opportunity to serve you all! Don’t hesitate to say hi to me! L-O-V-E, I LOVE MY D.I.V!

Yours in Caring Service,

Bailey Chen

2015-2016 Lieutenant Governor or Division 66

BRIAN NGUYEN DIVISIONAL ASSISTANT Hey everyone! My name is Brian Nguyen and I'm the New Divisional Assistant for Division 66! I am extremely excited to be working alongside Bailey and I hope to have a wonderful upcoming year with everyone! I plan to get to know as many of you as I can and bring my passion into our division to make everything even more fun! If you see me around, come say hi! Some of my goals for this year include getting my voice heard throughout the division and helping to bring in as many new members as I can! Before I get to know all of you, you all should know a little about me first! I'm a freshman at Clackamas High School. I've been playing the violin since 5th grade and I started playing chess this year. During my free time, I love going out to play soccer with my family or tennis with some friends! I especially love turtles (although I love giraffes even more!) and eating jojos! Although this has only been my first year in Key Club, I've experienced so much and have had so much fun! I have grown so much as a person and made so many memories. I am excited to serve the most caring and enthusiastic division of them all, Division 66, so let's have an amazing year! Go Giraffes!

RACHEL COYNE DIVISIONAL EDITOR

Hello Division 66, my name is Rachel Coyne and I am a junior at Clackamas High School. I am passionate about art, dogs, and naps. I am an excellent cook and a pretty good baker. I’m super passionate about volunteering. My favorite Key Club event is Feed the Hungry and the Apple Festival. Feed the Hungry allows me to help and connect with those in need. I love the Apple Festival because it’s one of the best feelings when you see the smile on the children’s faces. My goals in life are to graduate college with a major in Visual Communications or Design and graduate with a minor in Marketing. My dream job would be to work for Nike, and I want to own at least 2 dogs. I want to bring creativity and imagination to our Division. I want to bring more visuals and enthusiasm too. Designing things graphically is my greatest passion and I can’t wait to bring it to the Division. I also can’t wait to possibly bring food to share in the future with all of you.

What was Most Memorable to You About DCON?

14

“Dared by Alana Duong to say this-- Winning a dance.. haha I'm just gonna leave that there. ANYWAY, my most memorable experience was closing session because it was very exciting to see who the new District Board was as well as installing the new LtG's. There was a lot of crying involved for Brian when he retired, but we all know we're in good hands with Bailey as our new LtG! Besides that, I enjoyed the spirit battles, and meeting new Key Clubbers throughout the PNW District! ” - Theresa Nguyen

“Climbing stairs to floor 11 after days of being tired from all that chanting” - Kenny Chu

“Most memorable part was having spirit battles” - Patrick Le

“The most memorable experience of DCON was probably seeing how much everyone was excited for the ending ceremony and DCON in general that even the floor was bending under the pressure of everyone's spirit. I thought the floor was gonna break. In addition, the amount of body heat was outrages. It felt like a portable sauna.” - Jina Lee

“The ceremony and the dinner. The ceremony made me feel sad to see Brian Le leaving us, and happy that we got a new LTG "Bailey Chen". We had dinner before the ceremony and it was pretty nice at dinner. Every thing was great. After the ceremony and dinner we all went down stairs to the dining room and had one crazy night. We were supposed to have a slow dance, but we did get to that at all. And it was really hot in there. But hey... After all the dancing our president checked us if we where their and walked back to our hotels and went to bed, and spent the last day at DCON 2015. Felt sad leaving but we have next year.” - Austin Sung Yoon

“Favorite memory was the key note speaker and leading the new ways of hand hugs” - Nicole Philpott “Yelling out Kevin and ten other people turning around” - Kavin Le

“My most memorable DCON experience was having a big Division group hug during the Award Ceremony with Brian in the middle” - Christina Le

“Brian was an amazing LTG. Not only was he a great LTG, he was a good friend, too. Seeing him walk across the stage to get uninstalled brought tears to me, and our division. He has worked so hard for our division. He made our division stronger, and bigger. Thank you for all the hours of dedication you have put in for us.”- Hannah Ly

“I have never met someone so inspiring, dedicated, and lovable as Brian Le. If we never met, I wouldn't be writing this because I wouldn't be in Key Club. He has helped me grow and become the stronger person I am today. Brian has not only touched my life, but the lives of many others. My life is forever changed because Brian has guided me to my passion for service. For that, I am grateful and will never ever forget about Brian Le.”Elizabeth Prasansouk “Peasants Oil” Elizabeth P. “I will carry on the greatness well.”- Your Grand Innie

“Brian, I am truly grateful for everything you have shown me. Without you I guarantee that I would not have this much passion for Key Club. During my freshmen you invited me to go work with you at a carnival station. I’m pretty sure you were my first friend i meant through key club. That showed me how Key Club brings people together through service. Thank you” – Hung Le

Hello all! I spoke about the STEPS I would like to take as your Lieutenant Government during my speech. Here is an overview of it again, please take my hand as I lead you up the STEPS to service!

The “S” in STEPS stand for Solve. I will try to solve the problems that may occur or offer solutions to different problems. Not only will I try to solve divisional problems, I will try to reach out to every club to make sure they do not have any conflicts, and if they do I will help them. The “T” stands for Talk. Communication is key when it comes to achieving a successful relationship between the club and the district. As a Lieutenant Governor, I will do my best to inform my clubs and the district about what’s happening, through updates on social media and emails. Call/Text me whenever! The “E” stands for Educate. I will educate the officers about their positions and thoroughly inform them about the responsibilities each officer has so they can fully understand. I can show officers ways to find events and teach clubs what Key Club is exactly about and our passion for service. The “P” stands for Plan. Planning is vital because that is one of the responsibilities as a Lieutenant Governor. I will plan thoroughly by looking into the small details and keeping organized and well informed so I know how to answer questions if they are asked. I will try my best to plan well organized Divisional Council meetings and help other clubs plan if needed. Lastly, the “S” stands for, of course, service. Service is the main reason why Key Club exists, and we need to remember that in order to help others with sincere intentions. I plan to serve everyone I can and I will be there to lend a hand in case you trip going up the steps. I will emphasis the importance of service to every club so they will always do their best to serve.
