Happy Holidays, Division 66!
ERNOR
As we move into this holiday season, we transition from a time of giving thanks for all we have to a season of giving. Remember, there is need out there, right in our respective communities.
With that being said, try to do your part and help in any way possible. Will you donate your old clothes? Hygiene products? Canned foods? Will you adopt a family? Fifty families? Two hundred families? Whatever you do this season, remember that you are contributing to a greater good. Your small acts of kindness add to a grandiose wealth of help and giving.
The clock is ticking as DCON approaches. There is so much to do in so little time. I hope you all can join me, Division 66, and the Pacific Northwest District this March at DCON in Seattle, WA.
Before we get there, we must elect the next Lieutenant Governor of Division 66 for the 2015-2016 term. This month’s DCM is extremely important because we will be doing just that. Come join us—in business casual—to help determine the fate of the future of our division! Hope to catch you all soon. Keep warm and give lots! Yours in Caring Service, Brian Le

Have you ever wondered how much $2 can give you? Perhaps a pack of gum or candy or a McChicken…but in today’s culture, you can’t do much with just $2. Or can you? Next time you have some spare change in your pocket, keep this in mind:
JUST $1.80 CAN SAVE
A MOTHER AND ALL HER BABIES
FROM MATERNAL/NEONATAL TETANUS
Maternal/neonatal tetanus claims the life of one baby every eleven minutes, mostly in third-world countries with poor birthing practices. The good news is that a 3-dose vaccination routine can prevent this disease— and it costs only $1.80 to provide all the vaccines!
Be sure to join Kiwanis and UNICEF’s joint project: The NATE Project. YOU can make a difference with just $1.80. to learn more

This month, I’m throwing it back to the song I got installed to as Lieutenant Governor back in April 2014. It’s bittersweet to acknowledge that, in a few month’s time, I will retire from this amazing organization and year. So please, “Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth, Because I’m happy”

UNICEF is the only organization of the United Nations dedicated exclusively to children. It works with other UN bodies, governments, and organizations to assist children by providing primary healthcare, basic education, safe water, and sanitation. Currently, Kiwanis and UNICEF have teamed up with The ELIMINATE Project.
Prematurity isn’t a thing of the past. In fact, 1 in 8 babies are born prematurely. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
Children’s Miracle Network works to save the lives of kids in your community. Its network includes 170 nonprofit hospitals that provide care for every patient. Donations provide life saving equipment, research, therapy, and charitable care.
KEY CLUB 101 Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
