A MESSAGE FROM THE LTG! Greetings Division 66, Summer has just gotten started, but it seems like time is just flying by. I hope you all are having a fantastic summer! This past month I have seen you all helping out the community and working on fundraisers to increase awareness about charitable causes. It’s important to always have fun at service projects. I love that I can see the passion and dedication each and every one of you, Key Clubbers, have about service. It warms my heart to see your positive attitude in helping others. Thank you all to everyone that came to Portland Rally. There were many memorable moments, which many of us Key Clubbers will never forget. This summer the PNW district board is putting on many rallies for the Key Clubbers to attend and learn about Key Club, while having fun. Want to know the latest information about which rallies are coming up? You can check the Key Date section on page 10, or look on the PNW Division 66 Key Clubbers Facebook page or our Divisional website (http://pnwdivision66.webs.com/). Summer is a time to enjoy the sun, while spending time with family and friends. Have some spare time? Then, I challenge you to serve your community or raise awareness and have a fundraiser for the Eliminate Project. Remember, that the littlest thing you can do for someone can make a huge difference on him or her. In love and service,

Emilee Huey

"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." —Martin Luther King Jr. 3

PORTLAND AREA Portland Rally was a day full of laughs and fun. It was an opportunity for Key Clubbers from the Portland Area to come together to learn and meet one another. The day started off with meeting the District Executive Board and Lieutenant Governors from around the Pacific Northwest. We heard from a guest speaker, Sharon Lacey, and the Key Clubbers went to forums. To end the day, the Portland Lieutenant Governors got pied and the spirit stick was handed out to Division 65.

“SPOT LIGHT Club Officer of the Month

Ivan Villalbos Clackamas High School Even though this officer term has been his first, Ivan was elected to a high position after having proved himself a trustworthy, passionate, and respectable Key Clubber. Now, Ivan prefers to lead others by example rather than executive power, in spite of his high-ranking position. Having volunteered in Elementary school carnivals, beach/park cleanups, and food pantry feeds, Ivan has charted almost twice the number of hours required for Active Membership, a showing of commitment to service that is rare among even the most avid Key Clubbers. Ivan has attended every DCM to date. ~ Arthur Bookstein, CHS Key Club President

Club Member of the Month x

GiaHan Nguyen Clackamas High School GiaHan was extremely active in the month of June here at Clackamas High School. She came to every meeting, cleanup, and car wash we hosted. She also attended the DCM and Portland Rally. At these events, GiaHan displayed a positive attitude and great spirit. She was willing to lend a hand when help was needed and pushed herself to participate in activities. GiaHan works hard to be the best Key Clubber she can be. ~ Brian Le, CHS Key Club Secretary14 14
