THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST DISTRICT

In the midst of serene nature and fluctuating weather conditions lies the great Pacific Northwest District (PNW).The Pacific Northwest is geographically the largest district of Key Club International. The district spans from western Canada to northern California: with Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and the panhandle of Idaho in between. The Pacific Northwest encompasses nearly 1.8 million square miles and includes over 300 clubs that operate under 45 divisions. Through rain or shine, snow or hail, Key Clubbers in the Pacific Northwest dedicate countless hours to their communities and internationally, and are always “Proud 'N' Willing” to serve!

“I had a really great time at the joint DCM. This year I did not compete but instead was a checkpoint, requiring teams to ask a stranger to buy them something from Starbucks. It was fun seeing people get out of their comfort zones and succeeding to earn free drinks.” Rosie Nguyen, D65E

“I cannot begin to explain how fun spending the day with our sister divisions was. From walking through the side of a fountain to walking into the Apple store and asking them to fix my android phone, the day could not have gotten weirder for me. It ended up being a very tiring day as we had to walk all around downtown but it was worth it. Afterwards a few of us giraffes were able to have lunch with some members from Division 65 East, and eventually got to know them a bit better. Overall, I was able to make new friends as well as incredible memories from this DCM.” Reanna Le, D66

DIVISION 66

“Hi! During August, our Key Club participated a couple events at the Gladstone Cultural Festival. A few of our members volunteered at the book sale, helping with the setup and cleanup . We also helped at the Pancake Breakfast hosted at the Gladstone Senior Center on Aug 6th. In addition to that, we had a food stand that sold walking tacos, polish sausages and polar pizzas from Baskin Robbins on Aug 6&7th. The food stand was a fundraiser for our Key Club and for Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The summers over but hopefully we'll have a great school year! Ya Lin Li, Gladstone Key Club Webmaster
