Message f Divisiona Hello hellooo! I hope you all survived AP/IB testing season! Don’t forget to come to our upcoming DCM to destress and meet new members around the Division! So what have I been up to? Besides trying to survive the last month of school and attending Prom, I’ve been spending lots of time drinking boba (like always) and planning events for the Division. Speaking of events, it ➢

may be a little early but mark your calendars for August fifth! Portland Area Rally, otherwise known as a “mini DCON”, will be hosted at First United Methodist Church and I expect our Division to win the spirit stick, so be there! Also I couldn’t have a successful term without an assistant, so make sure to introduce your self to Austin Sayachith the EA!

In Care and Service, Reanna Le

from your al Board Hello, for those who don't know me, my name is Austin Sayachith (say-ah-chith) and I'm excited to be the new Executive Assistant for the Division! I can't wait to meet everyone and contribute as much as I can to Key Club! I'm currently a junior at Clackamas High School who has been in Key Club for two years. This year I attended my first DCON and it increased my passion for Key Club and I hope to use that to increase spirit in

our division. Some activities I enjoy are playing

basketball and tennis, eating new foods, making my

friends laugh, and taking naps. I'm open to meeting

new people so you can come say hi or ask me questions. Let's make this term super lit and I can't wait to see how much our division grows! In Care and Service, Austin Sayachith

My name is Andy and I am absolutely elated to be the next Communications Chair at PNW Key Club! I am from Division 56 (Go Penguins!) and I am currently a Sophomore at Pullman High School. I joined Key Club as a Freshman with a goal broaden my social circle and serve the community in even greater ways. I can now say Key Club has fallen no short of the expectation I had. In fact, it has been even more life changing than I envisioned. Through Key Club, I have been able to strengthen my character, make life-long friendships, and give back to the community in a truly special way. There is no better package than what you can get out of being a part of this organization. This year, I hope to be able to deliver the same message I got from being in Key Club to everyone in the district. I will work to make sure all the clubs of the PNW, no matter how isolated or depleted they are, are able to be constantly updated and connected with the rest of the district. This will include sending out physical copies of resources to clubs, increasing involvement across all social media platforms, and creating more videos/recaps of major events for everyone to followup on. In my free time, I love to be outdoors, playing sports, getting involved with other school activities, and making jokes with friends. I can’t wait to work with you all and if you ever have any questions, ideas, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Here’s to another fantastic year of service! My name is Dennis Mach and I truly am honored and thrilled to be serving you, as your Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair for the 2017-2018 service year. I am from Division 21, home of the Bumblebees, and I also go to Mariner High School, home of the Marauders! Key Club has made a significant impact in my life, and I want to make sure that every future key clubber and member get that same experience. In Membership Growth, I plan on establishing an ideal goal with my committee for our district, which is to reach 13,500 Key Club members by DCON 2018 in Portland, Oregon. I plan on promoting membership resources, reactivating suspended/inactive clubs, producing membership recruitment videos, updating Key Club flyers and chartering new clubs. I will also work really close with our current District Treasurer to make sure that all clubs are paying their dues on time. As Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair, I plan on utilizing my knowledge of working as Club President, Divisional Executive Assistant, and implement my perspective as well with others, in order to have a more productive term. I also plan on hearing out your ideas on how we can work towards achieving active membership growth together. My name is Danielle Bae and I am so excited to serve as your 2017-2018 District Project Chair. My home school is Skyline High School (GO SPARTS),

the same as our lovely Division 28 Lt.G, Heliqiong Sun. In terms of district project, I hope that together we will be able to reach our district project goal by the end of next March! The PNW has so much potential in fundraising and I wish to unlock your talents and truly strive to reach our goals. Key Club is a one of a kind opportunity that I have had the privilege of experiencing in my high school career and I hope that it will have an impact on all of you just as it has on me. Outside of Key Club, I lose sleep over my DECA competitions, try to not be lazy and attend my dance classes, attempt to debate at JSA meetings/events, spend all my money on buying school spirit gear, spend whatever is left on food with my friends and go to church on a regular basis. But all in all,

fundraising can seem like a difficult or gigantic responsibility to take on, but I assure you that if we help and rely on each other, reaching our goals will seem simple! Please let me know if you need help or have any questions regarding our 2017-2018 district project. Or you can just contact me to talk, I don't bite (:!! My name is Vivia Zhu, and I’m looking forward to serving as your 2017-2018 Convention Chair! I’m currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson High

School, and I’m a proud Division 33 Kraken. This past year, I’ve had the honor of being your Convention Aide and planning DCON 2017, and I’m so excited to continue and make DCON 2018 an even more enjoyable experience. Some of my goals for this year are to increase attendance (especially from smaller divisions), improve the registration and travel process, and create more opportunities for member involvement. Ever since I joined Key Club my freshman year, I’ve been amazed by the amount of spirit, compassion, and selflessness shown by each and every Key Clubber. That is why DCON is not only a celebration of the incredible work that you have put in to serve your community, but it is also an acknowledgment of your passion and

dedication to Key Club. I am SO humbled to be a part of this fantastic organization and to serve all of you! If you ever have questions, ideas, or just want to say hello, feel free to contact me over email or social media. Can’t wait to see you all at DCON 2018 :) In Love and Service, Vivia Zhu Convention Chair Pacific Northwest District Key Club International (253) 266-0490 convention@pnwkeyclub.org
