New at Friedr. Dick: tried-and-tested carving knife style in the 1905 success series design Friedr. Dick is reviving an old tried-and-tested butcher's knife design and enhancing its popular and successful 1905 series with a curved blade carving knife.
This special style of blade has already been used in kitchens and butcher's shops since the end of the 19th century. The curved blade design makes the cutting edge longer than when using a straight knife (remove thereby) easily achieving a long drawn cut. While this unique knife became more and more popular within the meat industry, it became increasingly forgotten in kitchens around the world. This was due to operational changes in cooking establishments and butcher shops.
This style of blade grew increasingly popular and was used more and more in the meat industry. The growing interest in the knife is easy to explain: in the meat industry the main focus is on fast and effective work to achieve the highest possible output rates.
