Children's Miracle Network 11 Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA)Los Angeles, CA Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC) - Orange, CA The Children’s Miracle Network organization (CMN) raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research, and raises community awareness of children's health issues. There are 14 CMN hospitals in the Cal-Nev-Ha District, such as:

GOCHIJANG CARAMEL COOKIES
A Korean fermented chili paste that is savory, sweet, and spicy. Made from gochu-garu (chili flakes), glutinous rice, soy bean powder, and salt, it is a staple in Korean marinades and stews. COOKIES? Yes! Enjoy a subtle savory hint in a classic sugar cookie giving a salty caramel-like flavor? Find gochujang in any Asian market.

small bowl, stir together ter, the brown sugar, and hujang until smooth. Set aside for later, at room temperature. In a large bowl, whisk the remaining 7 tablespoons butter, the granulated sugar, egg, salt, cinnamon, & vanilla until smooth. Use a spatula & stir in the baking soda. Add the flour & combine. Refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F & line 2 trays with parchment Take dough and spoon & swirl gochujang. DO NOT OVERMIX! Use an ice cream scoop & space cookies at least 3 inches apart. Bake until lightly golden at the edges and dry and set in the center, 11 to 13 minutes 24
