L T G M E S S A G E

Hey Sky Bisons! Are you excited to go back to school?Yeah, me neither... I’m kidding! A new school year means a new member recruitment season, which means NEW KEY CLUB FRIENDS!! If you know any incoming freshmen or anyone even the tiniest bit interested in Key Club, invite them to our next meeting, so they can see what our Bison Family’s really about! This summer we were able to hold many service events despite the current pandemic, and we did so while remaining safe at home. As we’re all starting to go back to school and get loaded up with hours of homework each night, I know that we may start to feel stressed about balancing school, hobbies, and Key Club. This is totally understandable, but I want you to know that you’re not alone! If you ever need someone to vent to, vibe with, or stay up late finishing homework with, I am only a text away. That being said, please continue social distancing, waking up for Zoom classes, and attending Key Club events this September! -love, your Lieutenant Governor Chelsea Widjaja

For the month of July, we arranged a meeting trying to discuss what our goals were going to be for this year. We also wanted to discuss how we could be more involved with what is happening right now. On the 23rd of July we hosted our first zoom meeting but sadly only 1 person showed up. We are planning to make homemade masks and donate them to local shops and or hospitals. There was also an art DCM on the 31st but sadly none of my board members or I could go so I don’t have pictures of that. On the beginning of the month we also got in a call to discuss future events we could possibly do.

After

we

DNE MESSAGE Hi Sky Bisons! I want to wish you all a prosperous school year. I understand the difficulties and frustrations we all face, and Key Clubbers tend to take difficult classes and a full course load. Especially right now, during quarantine, I get that the new system requires additional diligence and responsibility, which I think are important qualities all Key Club members constantly display. Even if you feel intimidated by this school year, you have gotten through every school year before this one. You will make it through! If you're struggling with the strain of distance learning, reach out and communicate with classmates and fellow Sky Bisons! Try to contribute to the network and family of our division by recommending Key Club to incoming freshmen, who must be especially intimidated during these times.Â

Serving with sincerity, Inara Khankashi
