Target User • Disabled person – Paraplegia • Paraplegia is a type of paralysis of the lower half of the body including both the legs • This means that the person I am designing the kitchen for is wheelchair bound • The kitchen is used by the disabled person 80% of the time
Design Specifications • Simple kitchen with a kitchen island • The area below the washbasin and the stove is empty for the convenience of the person in wheelchair • The storage shelves has sliding doors • Nothing to be placed above the maximum reaching height of a disabled person. Therefore everything is close to the eye level of a sitting person • The materials used are easy to clean
