Travelogue
BRIEF Our brief was to create a travelogue for a destination of our choice. My friend, Kshema had always wanted us to visit her hometown, Trivandrum. I had heard from Kshema that Trivandrum had a bit of everything. I wanted to explore this aspect. So, I chose Trivandrum as my destination. I explored Trivandrum with Kshema and also visited Ponmudi and Varkala, which are nearby destinations.

As Kshema had rightly mentioned, my visit to Trivandrum and the short trips we had nearby, did give me a glimpse into a bit of everything. A balance of beaches, culture, hill stations and the city life, Trivandrum was unique. There’s much to explore there!
The Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum To gain entry into the temple, women are strictly required to wear sarees or long frocks while men are required to wear a mundu while being shirtless.

Print Ads
BRIEF Our motive was to design an advertising campaign for a product or service of our choice consisting of three photographic print ads for a magazine.
Ballet shoes are too mainstream mainstreem so Vans are the new ballet shoes!

Wandertrails
Experiential Stays Live Project
OVERVIEW Wandertrails is a travel company that enables the online discovery, booking and experiencing of the best experiential stays and activities across India. An experiential stay is different from a normal hotel. Here the stay itself becomes the experience. For example, homestays, plantation stays, boutique resorts, jungle camps, etc. In my role as a photographer at Wandertrails, I was required to conduct photo shoots of the stays listed on our platform. Our main objective is to capture the real essence of a stay.
17
When we go on a shoot for a property, we cover it’s exteriors, the interiors, the amenities the place offers, and also the off-beat experience that is provided to our guests. Here are some of my photos from experiential stays across the country.

Wandertrails Activities Live Project
One of my assignments was to cover the popular tourist spots in North Goa. The Aguada fort was part of the itinerary. Just at the entrance of the fort is where I saw this view of the beach. I felt that it captured the vibe of the place perfectly.
I was really excited about my next assignment. I had to cover a Scuba Diving experience! It gave me an opportunity to experience scuba diving for the first time. Shooting underwater was going to be a challenge. The only waterproof equipment I had, was the GoPro. I couldn't frame my shots because that required the GoPro to be connected to a phone, which I couldn't take underwater. But I decided to jump in any way and give it a shot. The videos turned out great. Navigating through the sea among the corals and the fish was an experience of a lifetime. Capturing those moments too was immensely satisfying. It was one of my most memorable shoots.

All the stories I had heard about Hampi always brought out two sides to it. One the history and two, the hippy culture. When I was sent on an assignment to Hampi, I was eager to discover the real vibe of Hampi for myself. Over the course of my week's stay at Hampi, I realised that Hampi was the perfect blend of both ancient history and the newer hip culture. According to me, this perfect balance was what gave Hampi it's everlasting charm. It has something for everybody. Visiting Hampi was a refreshing experience.

Short Film Documentary
BRIEF The brief we received from college was to create a documentary film for any current event or cause of our own choosing. I decided to make my film about depression and raise awareness for the same.
This is Mrudula, my colleague from work. She was brave enough to share her experience battling depression.
Most of my research involved talking to people around me . My family, my colleagues, my friends. Since depression is a kind of ailment that hides in plain sight, I wanted to find out if any of them had experienced depression in their lives.
29
Depression wasn't an easy topic to bring up during conversation. But those who weren't held down by it, opened up and bravely spoke about their past experiences. I was shocked when I found out what they had been through and the emotional baggage they carried with them. Some of them were still affected by it. Some had conquered it. I realized after speaking to these people that severe depression could effect you at any time and it wouldn't even show up on your face. It made it that much difficult to get help. That's how dangerous it was. And sadly none of them had fully understood what they had gone through. Probably because of the lack of knowledge about the ailment. Each experience had various starting points, and were dealt with in many different ways. Some misunderstood, some ignored. But the affect on their lives: massive.
30
Instead of focusing on generally creating awareness about the issue, I decided to make it a personal story of a survivor. I thought that would create the most impact. Not many people like to discuss their struggles with depression due to societal biases. But according to me, discussing a personal experience would definitely get more balls rolling. Mrudula, my colleague agreed to become the voice for my film. I first recorded an interview with Mrudula, where she spoke to me openly about what she had been through. I also took various shots of her going about her day in office. I also shot relevant B-roll that I wanted to use in the film. During the edit, I showed the sequence of events in her life chronologically. I interspersed her voice with shots of her day to day life and relevant B-roll.
31
I hope that after watching the film, you are more aware of the people around you and pay special attention to the cues a victim might be giving. A helping hand is all that they need.

Self Branding
BRIEF Our project was to create a personal logo and harmoniously implement the same as a means of self branding. Here are some products like business cards and envelopes showing how my self brand logo would look like.
35
THOUGHT PROCESS The first step to make a logo for ourself was to know our strengths and weaknesses. My main strong points are being observant and my spirit for team work. I drew out different different references referenceson foreach each word wordsand andselected selectedthe themost mostmeaningful meaningful ones. Eyes and the Magnifying glass for Observant.Holding Team observant. Holding hands for the Team work spirit.
36
After combining the strengths together to make make it it form a shape, I tried turning and twisting to get a perfect angle angel which would give it some quirky feel to. too.

41
THOUGHT PROCESS I decided to use Jojo the monkey as my subject as it would immediately capture the attention of a child. I photographed Jojo in different situations children might find themselves in and offered easy first aid solutions. The book also showed the required items for a first aid kit and their uses.
42
As a kid I used to read a lot of storybooks by Ladybird book brand as they had very minimal text and a lot of pictures. So I based my children’s book on the Ladybird books.

Game Board Design
THOUGHT PROCESS Our objective was to design a board game. I got the inspiration for the game from a movie I watched called “Zathura. The movie was about a board game that transports the players to outer space where they encounter tragedies, that end up strenthening their bond.
PROTOTYPE This is a sample of how the packaging of my board game will look like.
47
STORY I chose the name, Galactic Rugrat Rush, as this is a game based in space where there are four naughty kids or rugrats. These kids are continuing to play even after their play time is up! To avoid going back early to their homes, they plan on taking a much longer route. While they return, they constantly spend time playing and chasing each other and creating a ruckus.
48
GAME-PLAY There are four pawns in the game who are the rugrats. You roll the dice and start the game! The moment you reach the orange boxes, you get to pick up a game card which will lead you to a challenge or an advantage. The advantages help you delay your progress. The rugrats get to play more. When you land on the starred boxes, you have to pick up the meteor card which gives you a disadvantage and pushes you faster towards your home. The player who reaches their home last is the winner!
The illustrations for the planet were inspired by a music movie called, “Interstella 5555 which is a sci-fi movie.
