At the beginning of December 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, concerning Mississippi’s ban on most abortions after 15 weeks. In November 2021, Netflix aired a new documentary called “Procession.” The film facilitates drama therapy for six survivors of clergy sexual abuse and was filmed primarily in Kansas City. The healing initiative Journey to Bethany has hosted a series of community conversations to provide a safe space and structure for the public to converse about the film and the thoughts and feelings it brings up, along with providing counseling professionals.
