We endeavor to improve our company each and every day, with a strong commitment both to our success as women entrepreneurs in Central America, and to the development of a socially beneficial business model that helps create a better world in the process.
At Dkoko, we are proud to offer quality products handmade by our local sewing team in our very own production house in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua.
Granada is a town famous for the skilled craftmanship of its artisans, which is why we chose to set up our production house in this special place, home to talented textile workers.
In 2016 Dkoko designers went to live in Nicaragua to personally train our manufacturing team went to live in Nicaragua to personally train our manufacturing team, since sewing swimwear was new to their repertoire of textile talents. Six years after, we have perfected our teamwork, achieving the level of quality Dkoko is known for among our ocean-loving clients around the world.

At Dkoko we produce in limited quantities and only manufacture the number of garments we sell, keeping waste at an absolute minimum. As a result, Dkoko designs are unique and our supply limited. BACK

We strive to use all the leftover materials created in our manufacturing process by re-purposing them back into our products and packaging to minimize waste and prevent them from ending up in the garbage.
In 2020 & 2021 we created two capsule collections, with great success, using only fabrics and other materials that were left over after our many collections throughout the years. Instead of plastic, our bikinis and clothing are packaged in fabric bags made from pieces leftover in our production line. This helps keep our supply chain plastic use to a bare minimum. We choose the best available materials to create beautiful products that last for years. We take care to know where our materials are produced and how far they travel to reach our sewing shop, since air transportation required for shipment is one of the primary factors generating the greatest carbon emissions across the fashion industry.
As nature lovers at heart, we are conscious of the serious impact that fashion has on our planet. We are committed to the challenge of researching new alternatives, finding innovative solutions, and making informed decisions to minimize our environmental impact.
At Dkoko, we believe that planetary wellbeing requires us all to buy less but buy better. That’s why our products are designed to be worn beyond just the trends of the season, made with the best available quality materials and sewn by hand, with love.

ECONYL® is a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made from pre and post-consumer nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic rescued from all over the world. Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as fossil-based nylon and has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. Every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® saves 70,000 barrels of crude oil and prevents 65,100 tons of Co2 eq. emissions. As well as being a solution on waste, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material for oil.

PANTELLERIARIBBED
A minimalist fabric textured like the skin of a sea sponge. Pantelleria is super stretchy, so it adjusts elegantly to the curves of the body while offering UV protection from the sun. This ribbed fabric has a beautiful glossy appearance that shines iridescent with the light. Super stretchy,soft and elegant. We’ve replaced regular lining with this feather-soft and light fabric to line our swimwear designs. Feather is an ultra-fine fabric with a matte look that fits the body like a second skin.
ME BEACHWEAR COLLECTION Upcycled / Chemical-Free Circular Design / Natural Fibers
Our ME beachwear collection was created using fabrics from The New Denim Project, a circular design lab and new-wave textile mill committed to closed-loop manufacturing, with raw materials derived from upcycled cotton and post-industrial textile waste. The ME collection features timeless beachwear designed for comfort and versatility, both functional and fun. Sewn in sustainable fabric sourced from The New Denim Project’s upcycled cotton and post-industrial natural fibers, produced chemical-free and made locally in a familyoperated textile mill in Guatemala.
