Smart Admission Institutions find you before you find them....

what | experience expected Today, it is your job and responsibility to go through the multiple process of filtering out the right program and school for your higher education, starting from research to file an application and finally registeration, it is a process of “asking for permission from institutions. In the future, this is not acceptable anymore, as the whole process of admission and registration could be more efficient and enjoyable, we imagine a reversed process, which is the possibility that insititutions would have your permission to gain insight of your personal data, and using big data to quantify and qualify your strength, weakness, interest and potentials. This process will be autonomous, done by cognitive computing as it is available to you all the time, through your mobile devices, website activities and google search history. Institution would come to you before you looking for them.
how | implementation It will be implemented through data you stored on the icloud and other connected digital devices and platfoms. Cloud computing and big data would run at the tip of your figure, you just need to do one click, all the information would become available to you, you just need to share with credited institutions, as the traditional admission office will be transformed into a cloud AI, constantly looking for talents on the cloud.
why | values downstream administration process smplify personal application process guilde personal development recuit based on life perspective increase certainty

Personalized learning what | experience expected An analysis of the ideal experience scenarios we wrote in phase 2 showed a common trend in finding ways to implement personalized and customizable learning. These trends are emerging because of the flaws present in the current education system that groups everyone together, categorizes us by age, and prepares us for industrial age jobs. In the future, education may be augmented by immersive AR/VR technologies, gamification, or the IoT, but the core of the system right now needs to shift to one that prepares us to work along AI and machines and recognizes individual interests, learning style, pace, and capabilities. The key to making a personalized and customizable education possible will be to leverage AI and machine learning to create a lifelong AI companion that would analyze individual learning behaviours and patterns to guide students through the education system and advise them on ideal learning paths.
why | values Greater trust in the educational process Greater stability and security for the future Help find purpose and meaning in their lives Help plan for a life of fulfillment
5
how | implementation The AI companion would live would be implemented similarly to a Learning Model Systems(LMS), such as Blackboard or Canvas, to give it better access to courses, assignments, emails, and curriculum data. Students can talk to it, ask questions, and give feedback on courses, teachers, and their learning to help it understand you better. Because it has access to your all your educational records and curriculum, the AI could also be used to help students study and review their courses. The companion acts as a source of guidance for students. Depending on the data analyzed it could recommend possible alternative learning methods or help smoothen the transition if students are transferring from one institution to another. To help make the AI companion more accessible to students anywhere, it can be expanded into a mobile app and/or voice assistant app. The first component needed to implement an AI system is a method for collecting big data. One part of our conversations when discussing the future of education was whether or not educational institutions would be disrupted by alternative learning methods or adjust to meet the demands of the 21st century. While both futures are possible, the AI companion we propose would easily be able to adjust to any changes to the system. As long as data continues to be aggregated and analyzed, the AI can work with any system to augment and personalize education for every individual. The current plan is to partner with the government and institutions to implement the AI companion in the current institutionalized educational system. This gives us the opportunity to take advantage of the network of institutions and aggregate learning behaviour data from all students.

Digital Socialized learning
what | experience expected School’s provide more than a environment to for education, it is also a social setting, allowing students to interact with other students and build relationships. Online learning can seem like a more solitary study, as it can be all done from home or wherever the individual feels comfortable learning. However, online learning does not have to be limited to individual learning. I idea that “everyone is our teacher is something that ZUBU is implementing in its system. Users will have the opportunity to form communities and engage with like minded individuals, in order to build relationships as well as grow intellectually. Learning is much more than the need to become educated, it is also a way to network with different people. Everyone carries a wealth of knowledge with them as they grow as individuals, so why not share it.
7
why | values Unlimited resources for learning opportunities Help identify other areas of knowledge one may not be aware of Strengthen community engagement Create a social setting and opportunity for networking
how | implementation A social media platform will be implemented in the system. Users will be matched with other individuals and/or communities based on the areas of interest. There will be opportunities to review the person before connecting. Anyone connected to the application will automatically be constantly referred to or matched with when launching the platform. “You may be interested in talking to‌â€? will be a common message. Allowing the application to take data from mobile usage as well as general usage, users/ learners will accurately referred to other people. The way people want to engage is up to them. What this looks like: The application will have a social media platform allowing users to interact with one another via chat forum or creating community pages for people to join Users will be recommended and referred to other users on the platform based on similar traits and interests. Individuals are able to refer and match with each other if they feel that they want to befriend or build a relationship with another user. The application can be accessed mobily and will gather usage data to further enhance their experience. Users will also have the opportunity to decline invites if they so choose, this is a platform to create a social network, however people are free to no engage.

Strategy
Our strategy seeks to provide a renaissance in assessment - pairing artificial intelligence with learning analytics - unlocking, and engineering a richer educational experience and social connections. At its core, our objective is to to predict a student’s future earning behavior by creating models that incorporate detailed information, such as knowledge, motivation, metacognition, and attitudes.
9
Educational AI System institutional
AI and learning analytics are used to research and build models in several areas that can influence a learner’s experience. It seeks to discern the pattern in the data, making sense of what is happening, so as to predict what should come next and take the appropriate action.
Educational Data Mining individual
By mining educational data, we are able to discover novel and useful information about the learner in large amounts of unstructured data. Acting as curator, advisor, and orchestrator - aims to make data visible, that has so far gone unseen, unnoticed, and therefore unactionable.
Finding Alike-Mind community
Using data for making connections is not new - companies use complex computations on customer data for business intelligence. Social media is a good example for this kind of applicatio. Using EDM, develops methods and applies techniques from statistics to inform learning theories and educational practice, while connecting people have the same learning styles and interets.

Trend analysis refers to the practice of collecting information and attempting to spot a sequential pattern, or trend, in the information over time. Web-based companies use trend analysis to predict what users might be searching for or be interested in or how user participation ramps up or falls off. In education, trend analysis helps answer such questions as what changes have occurred in student learning over time and how learning has changed. At the school level, trend analysis can be used to examine test scores and other student indicators over time to help administrators determine the impact of policies. In educational data mining, trend analysis often refers to techniques for extracting an underlying pattern, which might be partly or nearly completely hidden by data that does not contribute to the pattern (i.e., noise). Although the actual data needed for trend analysis vary depending on what information is of interest, typically longitudinal data from at least three points in time are required.

Visions

New Educational Experience ZUBU will achieve more than what schools aim to offer. This platform will close the knowledge gap that is created in schools currently. The idea of fear being associated with failure will no longer exist. Grades will have a different meaning, it will not be used to determine if an individual passes or fails, but rather emphasizes what an individual needs to improve on or if they are just lacking interest. Users will feel more encouraged to learn, a system that builds on the idea of a safe and comfortable learning environment will provide give them a drive and a boost of morale. People will never feel undermined, as the learning experience will always be tailored to them. Education will feel more complete, rather then feeling uncertain about what will happen next. Intellectual Companion Education is more than just schooling. It’s a journey. However without a mentor or a motivator it can become a difficult journey. ZUBU takes personalized education to a new level, by becoming part of the user. Allowing ZUBU to learn everything about the user, ZUBU will be able to know an individual better than they know themselves. ZUBU will be there during the ups and downs of life, and will find ways to create a better life for the individual. Life Fulfillment ZUBU is a platform that aims to show people they have a purpose in life, even when they do not see it themselves. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and individuals are more likely to acknowledge their weaknesses without seeing their true potential. ZUBU encourages users to follow their dreams without any fear, and provide support and motivation every step of the way.

Gamification 15
Gamification – is the introduction or application of elements of games into non-game contexts – is a relatively new concept but an old practice. Games, and the elements that make up games, have been incorporated into other areas of life throughout history. This is particularly true of education, where the need to ensure student interest and participation has meant that game mechanics – such as rewards and group tasks – have become core teaching tools. All games share three fundamental characteristics: they have a clearly defined set of rules; a rapid feedback system; and a well-established goal. With few exceptions, participation in games is voluntary and is primarily for enjoyment. Among the many elements that games consist of, three of particular relevance to education are: - mechanical elements, such as incremental progression, onboarding, and instant feedback - personal elements, such as status and visibility, collective responsibility, and acheivement - emotional elements, in particular the psychological state of flow

Future implications
the Black Box of life 17
The idea of education should not end when schooling has been completed. Education should be thought of as a lifelong process. Everyday people have the opportunities to learn new things and experiences. However not everyone has a mentor or a motivator to take them to this new experiences and things. ZUBU is much more than a just learning tool. The idea of a mentor is someone who is a trusted advisor, a guide, a guru, it similar to the relationship of a parent and child. A parent has a difficult task of nurturing physical, emotional and intellectual development from infancy to adulthood. Parents are responsible for supporting many aspects of a child’s life, however they cannot always be there for them. This is where ZUBU comes into play. ZUBU can be there for your child the moment they are born into this world to the moment they leave it. It can track their progress physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and support them every step of the way. ZUBU has the potential to become a third parent. Changing the idea of what education looks like and creating a new model by eliminating the need to go to a school and having one teacher for multiple students. Grading system will move away from the idea of passing or failing, rather it will be about improvement or measuring levels of interest. Encouraging the idea of a mastery based learning, and following one’s dreams. Being a personal counselor 24/7 to help improve one’s mental health if they are ever in trouble. Staying connected wherever you go, having the ability to move from any smart devices. Tracking live data, from the moment of birth to the end, all data will be gathered and focused on improving one’s everyday life. Learn personal behaviours in order to communicate to you in a more comfortable manner, will sound more like a friend rather than a chatbot. Preemptively knows the answers to one’s questions. Based on the live data gathered ZUBU will know what questions one might have before even asking the question, in turn will know the person better than the person knows themselves. Create a safer and happier environment for one to always have the motivation to learn and eliminating many fears of schooling.
