Rules & Regulations Tournament style i.e; only winner goes through to the next round. The mat area is 6 x 6 meters, no cage or fence. If the fighters go out of this area the referee will restart the fight in the centre of the mat, in the same position they were when they left the mat. If the fighters were standing, they will start again facing each other.

Clean Sweep
Each position must be established for 3 seconds or more in order for points to be awarded. When changing multiple positions points will be awarded only for the position that has been established for 3 seconds or more. Reversals are considered Sweeps as well.
Penalties: When a fighter voluntarily jumps in the guard or goes from standing position to a non-standing position by any means and remains down for 3 seconds or more, he will be punished by a minus point. Excluding first half of the round. When a fighter disengages from contact and starts backing up and avoids to engage again he will be punished by minus point. A passive fighter will be warned twice and then will be punished by minus point. The referee will warn the passive player by the wards "WARNING PASSIVITY"

How you can win The winner will be decided according to: If one competitor gives up or submits by tapping the leg, arm or verbally If Referee feels one competitor is unable to defend himself or feels his life is in danger, the Referee will declare the winner If a fighter breaks the rules twice he will be disqualified by the Referee If round goes past over time and still a draw, lightest competitor wins.

Time Limits: KIDS: 3minute rounds for kids 7years old and younger. 4minute rounds for kids 8year old to 15years old. Teens from the age of 16yo to 17years old will follow the beginner adults time limit. 3minutes – First 1 minute no points, last 2 minutes points on 4minutes – First 2 minutes no points, last 2 minutes points on 1minute over time with points on, if no winner at end of over time then lightest competitor wins. ADULTS Beginners: 5minutes – First 2 minutes no points, last 3 minutes points on 2 minutes over time with points on, if no winner after over time then lightest competitor wins. Intermediate: 6minutes – First 3 minutes no points, last 3 minutes points on 3 minutes over time with points on, if no winner after over time then lightest competitor wins. Advanced: 10minutes – First 5 minutes no points, last 5 minutes points on 5 minutes over time with points on, if no winner after over time then lightest competitor wins.

Advanced: Over three years training any grappling art. Extra Rules Takedowns: Takedown must be secured with a grounded position for it to score points. If competitor hits a takedown but remains standing, then no points. To score points for the takedown the other competitor must land on their back or side, if they land in turtle or stomach down then no points. Knee Ride: Foot must be based out for points, if knee is on the ground then no points. Passing Guard: If the person on the bottom rolls up to turtle as the other passes, it’s no points. If the person passes guard to knee ride or mount in less than 3 seconds of the pass, then the passer will only gain points only for the pass, not the knee ride or mount. Back mount: Must have hooks or body triangle with seatbelt control for points. If transitioning to back mount but stuck in head lock then no points until head is free and established hooks/body triangle and clear upper body control. Sweeps/Reversals: Sweep is considered when two fighters are facing each other, change the position from bottom to top and establish it for 3 sec. or more. Reversals are considered Sweeps as well (bridge and roll, side control reversal, north south reversal, knee ride reversal). When changing multiple positions, points will be awarded only for the position that has been established for 3 seconds or more. If the person on bottom reverses the position but is reversed instantly then no points for either. The reversal or sweep must be done in one continuous motion, if it’s a gradual scramble switching positions then no points. Pulling guard: Jumping guard is an illegal technique for all kids divisions and beginner adults pulling seated guard is allowed for those division. Pulling guard will only -1 point when points are on. Stalling/Disengaging: Stalling or disengaging will incur a -1 point penalty, if a competitor incurs three -1 point penalties then that competitor will be disqualified. Stalling/Disengaging will be warned twice before -1 point is given. The referee may stand the competitors back up after a -1 point penalty. -1 point penalty happen during the entire round, including the first half of no points. Disengaging is deemed when a competitor is constantly escaping and avoiding offensive game and backing off. Stalling is deemed when a competitor has a more superior position and not moving or hunting for submissions. Kids Submissions: No Submissions for kids 7 years old and under, they will roll for points only. If kids are caught in a submission and is deemed dangerous to the referee then the referee will stop it even without a tap. “No Points” in the first half of the round is to encourage competitors to take risks, so take some risks. No matter how many points are scored, submission will always win. Win or lose, learn and have fun, and thank you for your support.
