The International Docomomo Seminar 'Reframing the Moderns - Substitute Windows and Glass' took place in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 20, 1998. Attended by about 55 researchers and professionals from 10 countries, it was one of the first seminars to address this topic in regard to Modern Heritage. In general, the seminar contributed to the growing interest in the problems concerning the restoration of modern movement architecture.
The case studies presented at the seminar and included in this dossier, illustrate how practical problems with window restoration have been solved with in-depth detail, expertise and that address challenges in the integral development of substitute units, including practical and tailor-made solutions on site.
