1. Die cut the various pudding pieces, along with a few holly leaves, using a die-cutting machine. Use gold and silver mirror board for the cutlery and coin.

2. Layer the pudding together using small dots of Anita’s Tacky Glue. Disperse tiny dabs across the filigree section to avoid any glue seeping through. Adhere to the card.

here is so much that you can create with embossing powders and ink in your paper projects; they’re a couple of our craft stash favourites! By simply layering the two together you can make a thick, luscious base to sink your stamps into to create some unique effects. Follow these quick and easy steps to craft a masculine card with copper textured tags.

Trim a piece of brown cardstock to measure 12.5 x 17.5cm. Emboss with the Xcut A6 Galvanised Steel Embossing Folder. Glue this to a 5 x 7" kraft card blank, trimming the edges to allow a small border.

Die cut a sheet of blue paper from the Mr Smith’s Workshop 6 x 6" Paper Pack with a large oval die. Take the die that’s the next size down and cut an oval in contrasting striped paper. Glue the two together.

Your home for all things craft

Die cut four different sized stars in blue and wood-effect paper. Layer two together at an angle and glue towards the bottom left-hand corner of the card front. Embellish with a brown button, using tacky glue. Adhere the other two overlapping where the oval will be in the bottom and top right-hand side.

Spell out the word ‘Birthday’ with the Mr Smith’s Workshop Alphabet Thicker Stickers and glue them to the bottom of the tags. It’s a good idea to use a little glue behind them to give them a secure bond.

Fix some 3D foam pads to the back of the oval panel and adhere to the front of the card blank.

Cut five tags from the Xcut Everyday Gift Tag Set and then follow the steps below to create the triple-embossed effect, spelling out ‘Happy’. Glue them in order in the centre of the ovals with Anita’s Tacky Glue. Cut some of the words from the paper pack and stick them behind the ‘P’ and ‘Y’ to create little banners.

Ink each of the tags with pigment ink. While the ink is wet, cover with copper embossing powder and melt with a heat tool. Wait until it cools and repeat the process several times.

When you have repeated Step 1 about five more times, ink a stamp with some clear embossing ink. Repeat Step 1 again and stamp the image into the melted embossing powder before it hardens.

TRICKS OF THE TRADE Stamp and heat emboss on vellum for a charming notelet

f you like the idea of crafting your own wedding stationery, you’ll be happy to hear that it can be relatively easy to do. This lovely, subtle ‘Save the date’ card combines a pretty stamped background with a floral vellum overlay, ensuring that everyone remembers your date! Wedding Ever After stamps make this a quick and simple process that promises beautiful results.

Cut an 8 x 8" card blank to measure 5 x 7", with the fold at the top. Trim a 5 x 7" cardstock panel to match. Cut a sheet of vellum to 5 x 8" and round the bottom corners of all pieces with an Xcut 2 in 1 Corner Punch. Set the card blank aside for later. Ink up a large grass stamp with black pigment ink and print onto the bottom of the 5 x 7" panel. While the ink is still wet, sprinkle over clear embossing powder. Shake any excess back into the pot and set with a heat tool.

the date on the cardstock behind the wreath, following the three steps below. While the vellum is temporarily secured in place, stamp a selection of flowers from the Creativity Essentials Meadow Stamp Set with clear embossing ink. Ensure that the flowers sit on the ends of the stalks on the cardstock behind (it will probably help to do each of these one by one rather than all at once). Heat emboss five in silver and three in white. Remember to lift the vellum away from the mat while heating.

Stamp and heat emboss a couple of silver sprigs at base of the vellum, lining them up with the bottom edge. Towards the top of the design, stamp and heat emboss five butterflies with white embossing powder.

To make up the card, score the vellum 1" from the top edge and crease sharply. Apply double-sided tape along the top at the back of the cardstock panel. Stick the vellum to the panel so that the 1" folded section is on the back. Apply double-sided tape to the front of the card blank and stick the stamped and layered panel in place.

How to... Stamp the date

Stick the cardstock panel and the vellum overlay to a glass cutting mat with a few strips of craft tape.

Use a ruler and a light pencil to draw a guideline, ensuring it’s in the right place within the oval on the vellum overlay.

Stamp the date using the Wedding Ever After 5 x 7" Alphas & Numbers stamps. Erase the line when dry.

I normally use double-sided tape but annoyingly you can see the edges of the tape and some yellowing where it’s been stuck. Thanks, Rach x Tops tips from the docrafts PDT: • Strategically place double-sided tape or small hand stitches under embellishments. • If you’re using brads, place a few through the vellum to secure. • Use machine stitching around the edge of the vellum to provide a decorative border. This could be inked later on.

1. Fold a long length of ribbon into several loops, pinch together in the centre and secure with wire. Fix to a kebab skewer with wire and arrange between the baubles.

2. Bunch together some gold or silver decorative berries, wind with wire and attach to a skewer as before. Add to the arrangement.

3. Insert a cocktail stick into a 6cm polystyrene ball, brush with tacky glue and cover with fine iridescent glitter. Push the stick in an oasis block until dry.

4. Remove the cocktail stick and wrap gold glitter ribbon around the ball, crossing over at the top and bottom to divide the ball into six segments. Use pins to hold in place.

1. Trim vellum just smaller than the A6 card blank, dab small dots of glue on all four corners and attach to the front. Cut out clouds and a sentiment and mat together with 3D foam pads. Stick to the top of the vellum. Adhere three Geometric Kraft adhesive mirror teardrops underneath.

2. Take the tree tag die-cut from the ultimate pack and cut around the shapes. Add a layer of Anita’s 3D gloss to the trees. Trim a strip of green cardstock and scallop with a border punch. Layer the trees on top and adhere to the card, on top of some Willson Wood die-cuts. Finish with a few green vines and white palm-punched butterflies.

Create the cover project Jo Boland explains how to transform a few die - cut shapes into a beautiful woodland wonderland, complete with adorable little wooden toadstools Make a special pop-up box card using the decoupage pieces from the Papermania Tales from Willson Wood Ultimate Pack. Stamp the wooden boards background stamp in brown pigment ink on the plain side of a sheet of kraft grid cardstock.

On the grid side, draw a 4" box template with 4" lid, 1.5" sides (these will be folded over) and extra tabs. Score along the fold lines.

Assemble the box, folding along the score lines and securing the sides with double-sided tape. Fold in the sides first, then the front.

Cut out a 4 x 8" piece of cardstock and fold in half. Cover with Willson Wood papers and adhere the base decoupage piece to the upper half.

Attach decoupage pieces to the card base with folded strips of cardstock and double-sided tape, leaving 1cm between each layer.

Embellish the base of the box with mini wooden toadstools, charms and die-cut sentiments, securing them with a hot glue gun.
