MESSAGE
On behalf of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, I congratulate the incoming officers of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County, and wish you all the best as you prepare to assume the duties and responsibilities of your new positions within the organization. Over the past three decades, the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara has established itself as a reliable community partner not only for Filipino Americans in business, but also those who wish to explore and pursue business and investment opportunities in the Philippines. Your efforts have served to strengthen and unite our community behind the common goal of promoting the economic welfare of our kababayans here, as well as of those who are back in the Philippines. As new officers of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, you are entrusted with continuing this tradition of service and community involvement. I am confident that the talent and experience you bring to the table will serve the Chamber of Commerce well, as it embarks on a new set of projects and initiatives. Mabuhay po kayo!

Message Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County It is a great honor and privilege for me to assume the role of FACC President for 2014-2016 and to lead a group of accomplished and civic-minded professionals. Henceforth, I am committed to provide adequate leadership required in order to achieve FACC’s objectives. As a volunteer organization, one of the utmost goals this year for our Chamber is to increase the number of members and encourage meaningful member engagement. I am glad to say there has been notable progress in our membership drive since September 2013. Furthermore, the extent of our challenge is to develop a long-term source of funds and comprehensive action plans to support our efforts. We are preparing measurable and sensible changes in order to be more responsive to the needs of our members. We expect that the implementation of our new programs and initiatives would multiply our Chamber’s activities and services to our members. With this aim in mind, we will reach out to other organizations to get the resources we need as well as work collaboratively with our members in making FACC an even more impactful organization over the next two years and beyond. In closing, I would like to extend my heartiest thanks to the outgoing board directors for their hard work and unflagging dedication to the Chamber especially during tough times. My grateful appreciation goes also to those who came to celebrate with us. I look forward to your continued support and hopefully working with you in different Chamber sponsored programs and activities over the next two years.
Sincerely, Anne Orozco-Ramirez President, 2014-2016 FACC of Santa Clara County The significance of your existence can only be measured by the difference you have made in the lives of other. – Anne

Message Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County
E
ight years — that’s a long time and seems too overwhelming especially, when no one anticipates the enormity of the tasks that lie ahead. But no matter what, one must continue on and serve the community you care for. There’s just no other choice, nothing at all.
Suddenly, lo and behold before your own eyes – the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County! You saw how it survives even when the others think you can’t do it. However, it is actually with the support of the few who stayed and gave the total encouragement you need that now we look and see the fruit of that tremendous effort. Oh, but what a blissful relief! And so, it is with joyful appreciation that I would like to commend all my Board Members who gave their unselfish support and encouragement when I most needed it. My most heartfelt gratitude to all of you for being there – you all who I consider not only friends but my FACC family. Without you there by my side, I wouldn’t have continued on to see what we have now. Look at what we have especially, tonight. To the new Officers and Board Members, my congratulations and I know you will hold dear to your hearts the services that you are going to give to our beloved FilAm Chamber of Commerce of Santa Clara County and the community we are all bound to serve. I thank you all for the opportunity.
