SDA- SDAI Consortium 1. History: The Société de Distribution Africaine (SDA) and the Société de Distribution Africaine Internationale ( SDAI) combine companies that are active in the distribution of new vehicles and machines and agricultural tractors in Africa. The SDA and SDAI Holdings were created respectively in 2008 and 2012, but their roots go much further back to the 1990's, with the creation of DEMIMPEX, specialising in the sales and exporting of spare parts to Africa. The company grew rapidly, thanks in part to organic growth as well as the creation of joint ventures and the acquisition of competitors such as Vehicle Repair Parts (VRP), Transco and Auto Transport Company (ATC) and of the Multitech network. In 2011, SDA combined its automobile activities with those of the Optorg Group to create Tractafric Motors Corporation (TMC). At the end of this operation, SDA owned 40% of this joint venture. In 2012, SDA reinforced the management structures and the infrastructures of the distribution networks of the SMT Group (distribution of Volvo CE, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta in 13 African countries) and the DEM Group (distribution of John Deere Construction & Forestry and Hitachi Mining & Construction Machinery in 25 African countries). SDAI reinforced by supporting the management structure and the infrastructure of the SDIAG distribution network, distribution of John Deere Agriculture in DRC, Rwanda and Burundi. The SDA-SDAI Consortium offers all the corporate support required for the development of its participations in terms of strategy: human resources, legal & compliance, marketing, IT, management control, to allow the subsidiaries to ensure and develop internal and external quality growth. 2.
