Dropbox Provide 2 Step Verification
See many user names and passwords were stolen in other websites, Dropbox finally strengthen security. At the forum, this data storage service is announced, has begun adding two-step verification for all user accounts. Quoted from Mashable, Monday (08/27/2012), Dropbox highly recommend users to follow the two-step verification process. With the new verification process, besides password which is used each time to access Dropbox, users are also required to send a six-digit security code. “We added an extra layer of security to account by requiring users to submit six-digit security code other than their password each time sign-in, or connect the new computers, phones, and tablets,” said the company. The security code will be sent to users mobile phone via text message or use mobile authentication application. Dropbox action launched after the company was aware many usernames and passwords stolen from other websites, which are also used to sign-in to Dropbox account.
