ESA (European Space Agency) will launch a satellite that is assigned to hunt for exoplanet. Exoplanet is the planets outside the solar system, in which the scientists believe that out of the several hundred exoplanets found, possibly some of them have signs to support life. ESA has set a project called Cheops (characterizing exoplanets Satellite). Project is set up as a new process to select fast, inexpensive and space missions. “Cheops will operate in Sun-synchronous low-Earth orbit at altitude of 800 kilometers and is expected to operate for 3.5 years after its launch in 2017, said a spokesman for ESA, as reported TheRegister, Monday (10/22/2012). This satellite will be deployed to hunt for exoplanets. This satellite will be working with the observation in the solar system to house planets. Cheops will capture the detail information and then presents the data to the ESA. ESA hopes with the launch of Cheops mission, then they can get better understanding of exoplanets. ESA is also not just rely Cheops, but also through space telescope to help get the information and continue their study of exoplanets. Is said the decision to launch the Cheops is right, because the Kepler spacecraft has recently experienced interference on one wheel reaction in July 2012. This reaction wheels used to direct spacecraft instruments. Wikipedia explains, exoplanets are planets outside the Solar System. Until January 2011, there were 519 exoplanets have been discovered and listed in the Encyclopedia of planets outside the solar system. The discovery of extrasolar planets, it reinforces the question of whether there is life on some of these extrasolar planets.Read More on http://www.technonewspaper.com Related Posts satellite Reveal Antarctic Ice Melting
