Facebook Official Resigns To Build Tech City
One senior executive of Facebook, Joanna Shields resigned to build Tech City in London. When on Facebook, Shields served as Vice President who responsible for business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Reported from the Telegraph, Sunday (10/21/2012), Shields quit facebook and join the project of British Prime Minister, David Cameron, to create competitor for Silicon Valley, California, which is the “home” for many large companies in the tech world and startup. Shields will be the spearhead Tech City to bring greater foreign investment. Today Tech City has been home to three thousand digital companies, which comprise the majority of startup. “There are not many opportunities for you to know the day you can contribute to the higher level. I think London is an incredible city. It is the gateway to the world, “said Shields. “This (London) is supposed to be the other cities. London should be its rightful place as a center of technology in my world is the digital industry, ” she explained.
