Google and Motorola “Mocking” Apple Maps
Digital map services Apple Maps on the iPhone 5 does not get a positive response from users. This deficiency is used Motorola Mobility and Google to make fun of Apple Maps. Motorola Mobility is the unit of Google smartphone business, create promotional ads Motorola Droid Razr M, published via Twitter, on Friday (09/21/2012). The title of this ad reads “The real world that’s fit for your hand.” There looks Droid Razr M is opening Google Maps application that displays satellite perspective images detailed a street in downtown Manhattan, USA. Beside Droid Razr M, there is an iPhone 5 that opens Apple Maps app and shows a similar way, but in a standard perspective. Below the image of the iPhone 5, there is a text that read “# iLost”. As we know, Apple just throw the Google Maps application from the operating system iOS version 6. Apple develops its own digital map service called Apple Maps, which worked with some companies engaged in the digital maps and navigation. Unfortunately, Apple Maps reaping a lot of criticism of Apple mobile users who have updated to iOS 6 operating system. The service is considered not as detailed and accurate as Google Maps.
