Google Search Engine Domination Make FTC Sultry

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says it wants to take action against Google for using the search engine domination to hurt competitors. Quoted from Cnet, Saturday (10/13/2012), the source from Reuters said four of the five commissioners of the FTC believes Google is using its position as the top search engines to hurt competitors. Meanwhile, The New York Times cited unnamed source to report that the FTC is preparing the 100-page memo that recommend the government to sue Google. The FTC has been investigating the situation for more than a year and will make a decision on it goes. In response to this, Google spokesman said that they were ready to answer questions about its business. This is not the first time Google faces government scrutiny. Last August, the FTC also hit Google with a fine of USD22, 5 million on tracking the Safari browser. FTC is also investigating whether Google has blocked access to standard industry patents that should be licensed to competitors.Read More on http://www.technonewspaper.com Related Posts Facebook Create a Search Engine?
