Yahoo Office in South Korea Closed
Yahoo has announced to stop the company’s operations in South Korea end of this year. Yahoo! resigns from South Korea to run the company’s downsizing strategy to win again lost market position. Thus was launched from Digitalspy, Saturday (10/20/2012). “The operation in South Korea face growing challenge in recent years, so this makes our business scale very difficult,” Yahoo said in a statement. To be known, Yahoo South Korea was established in 1997 and has 200 employees. Yahoo is a company that was in transition after the appointment of a new CEO Marissa Mayer, thus giving effect significant change for the company to compete against Google.
