Another busy time in our dog world over the past weeks.
F“irstly thank you to everybody who took the time to attend our Annual General Meeting on 27 March 2024. It’s always important that our members can raise and discuss issues and concerns. I would like to thank everybody for their attendance and we will address issues raised in a separate message.
ANZAC Day saw our annual Dusk Service conducted by the Forest Lake and Districts Sub-Branch of the RSL. Our PR and Marketing Committee worked hard yet again to bring a fantastic event for everybody. The service gives us the opportunity to pay our respects to those who have served for our country.
I would like to remind affiliated clubs who have not yet adopted the new Rules of Association, to consider this as a priority. Please click the following link to view the rules.
Our affiliated clubs are the backbone of our organisation. Passionate volunteers work hard to make events a success. These members take on tasks and are given the responsibility by members to administer the club. We do however, regularly have questions from members regarding issues which occur at meetings and events, and procedures which should be followed.
The first place to seek information is the club’s constitution. This should be available from the Club Secretary. Many clubs have these resources available on their website accessible for everybody.
Familiarising yourself with the constitution can assist you better understand processes to be undertaken by members at their club meetings.
Dogs Queensland have a Club Administration booklet which may assist members better understand meeting and club procedures.
Understanding these procedures will assist in the smooth running of your meetings and avoid confusion and unnecessary disagreement.
Members are reminded that meetings of affiliated clubs and any official event eg fun days, health clinics, are governed by the Code of Conduct of Dogs Queensland. Poor behaviour at any Dogs Queensland events can be subject to Code of Conduct breaches and penalties may be imposed. Being polite and respectful to others is a fundamental expectation of our members.
One essential requirement for clubs is the completion of an Annual Report for Dogs Queensland. These reports keep us updated with details of club’s executive officers as well as details of financial status of our affiliates.
These reports must be completed every year and within one month of the AGM. See Rule 7.2 for further details or contact the DQ office.

AMENDMENTS TO THE ANIMAL MANAGEMENT (CATS AND DOGS) ACT 2008: UPDATE
The amendments to the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 were passed by State Parliament on 18 April 2024.
This legislation bans restricted “breeds” (including the American Pit Bull Terrier or Pit Bull Terrier), increases penalties and introduces new criminal offences.
Disappointingly, the legislation ignores the submissions by key stakeholders including Dogs Queensland, the RSPCA, animal welfare groups (Animal Care Australia and the Animal Defenders Office) and fails to take to take account of the overwhelming evidence overseas and in Victoria that breed specific legislation is not effective in preventing dog bites.
It also ignores the fact that a huge percentage of dog bites, particularly children, take place within the home of family and friends or immediate vicinity.
Dog bites are a complex problem. By far the greater influencing factors are lack of socialisation and training, and irresponsible behaviour with and around dogs.
The above measures are unlikely to have any significant effect in preventing dog bites and enhancing community safety unless the real issues are addressed.
Dogs Australia are pleased to advise the approval of the application received from the Whippet Club of Victoria Inc to conduct the 2025 National Show on the 7 to 9 March 2025 at Foothills Conference Centre, Lilydale, Victoria.
Dogs Australia have advised this event will now be held on 5 and 6 September 2025 at the same venue being at the David Roche Park, Cromwell Road, Kilburn, South Australia. The Royal A&H Society of South Australia Inc has confirmed these dates will not clash with the breed judging at the 2025 Adelaide Royal Show.
Dogs Australia are pleased to advise the approval of the application received from the Chihuahua Club of NSW Inc to conduct the 2029 National Show on the 31 March to 1 April 2029 at the Hawkesbury Show Grounds, Racecourse Road, Clarendon, New South Wales. The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW has confirmed these dates will not clash with the breed judging at the 2029 Sydney Royal Dog Show.
All clubs please note that the draft 2025 calendar is on the Dogs Queensland website under EVENTS.
Clubs are requested to check the dates and if changes are required, complete the official change/ date request form.
All requests will be considered before the 30 June 2024.

Dogs Queensland has become increasingly aware of Puppy Scam Websites using legitimate Dogs Queensland Registration and Queensland Breeder Identification (BIN) Numbers to sell puppies. Dogs Queensland Registration Numbers are obtained from legitimate websites such as Dogs Queensland or DogzOnline, where they are displayed as required by the Queensland Government.
Please see the Queensland Dog Breeder Fact Sheets for regulations and guidelines for Queensland Dog Breeders.
An example of a typical scam is:
• A Dogs Queensland Membership number is lifted from current advertising on the internet.
• The scammer researches and obtains personal details of the breeder including name, suburb, prefix.
• A domain name similar to the Kennel prefix is registered on an offshore registry.
• Once the breeder has ceased advertising the litter of puppies a new website is published.
• No physical address or phone numbers are advertised on the website.
• The seller avoids permitting you to physically see the cyber puppy and only sends non genuine pictures.
• The seller insists on only accepting payment by a crypto currency or a funds transfer.
As a breeder what can you do to avoid being an unknowing victim of a Puppy Scam:
• Regularly Google search the internet for websites using a similar Domain Name as your Prefix.
• Put a warning notification in your online advertising to alert buyers to check any website they are looking at is legitimate.
• Encourage puppy buyers to verify breeder information with Dogs Queensland and make direct in-person contact with you.
• Ensure puppy buyers check communications are made with verified contact details.
• Encourage puppy buyers to meet the puppy and breeder before handing over payments.

"The Neapolitan Mastiff is not slender and graceful (there are plenty of breeds that are). Known as the Mastino, he is messy and complicated, but also the most beautiful creature in the canine world."
Let me start by saying this, for me, the Neapolitan Mastiff is the best breed in the world. It’s not the breed for everyone, in fact it’s really only for a small percentage. They are big, they are really big and when you are lucky enough to see some proper ones they are even bigger! The Neapolitan Mastiff is not slender and graceful (there are plenty of breeds that are). Known as the Mastino, he is messy and complicated, but also the most beautiful creature in the canine world. He hails from Italy with Naples credited as being the birthplace.
The Neapolitan Mastiff is the descendent of the Roman Molossian, the guard dog of the legionnaires’ camp, fighter in the circus with wild animals, hunter of big game, herding and protecting buffalo. Descending from the war, Molossians of the Sumerian and Mesapotamian people and of the Assyrians of Alexander the Great. These in turn can be traced back to the Tibetan Mastiff.
Understanding each step of the evolution of the breed is nearly impossible. We can look at artwork and artifacts over the last two thousand or so years, but these could be any Molossian. One thing that is certain is that the Father of the breed is Piero Scanziani. He saw the Mastino for the first time at the Naples exhibition in 1946. Afterwards he wrote: “I recognized him instantly, he was one of the hundred that Paolo Emilio the Macedonian had brought to Rome in his triumph, he was the great dog of Epirus ... from the heights of his centuries, he stared at me imperturbably, with eyes that were neither hostile nor gentle, a gaze that neither gives nor asks...”.
It was Scanziani who fought for recognition and wrote the first Standard of the breed (officially recognized by the Italian Kennel Club in 1949). They are a large-sized Molossian, guardian par excellence of property and also of people. The Mastino has a very powerful, majestic and statuesque structure and knows no fear. The Mastino is not aggressive for no reason, he is balanced and thoughtful, intelligent, somewhat trainable, very trustworthy and honest. If he needs to attack it is extraordinarily quick. Heavily constructed with a rectangular shape he moves
similar to a feline, the skin is abundant and loose; the astounding head is large and unique, covered with wrinkles and folds that give it the typical expression.
Built on the grounds of the royal palace of Caserta (north of Naples, Italy) between 1783 and 1784 by Gaetano Salomone, with the contribution of the fountain maker Filippo Carpi, the Fountain of Ceres celebrates the goddess of the fertility of the fields. It has several mastino larger than life amongst the dogs.
From Sherilyn Allen’s book The Official Book of the Neapolitan Mastiff: The earliest description I could find of the ancestors of the Neapolitan is by a Latin author of the first century AD, Lucio Giunio Mederato Columella. In his work De Re Rustica, Columella states that the house guard dog, which was the Roman Mastiff of that time, should be black, “because a black dog has a more terrifying appearance; and during the day, a prowler can see him and be frightened by his appearance. When night falls, the dog, lost in the shadows, can attack without being seen. The head is so massive that it seems to be the most important part of the body. The ears fall towards the front, the brilliant and
penetrating eyes are black or grey, the chest is deep and hairy, the shoulder wide, the legs thick, the tail short, the hind-legs powerful, the toenails strong and great.
His temperament must be neither too gentle nor too ferocious and cruel; whereas the first would make him too apt to welcome a thief, the second would predispose him to attack the people of the house. He should be of solemn and not merry character and must always react with rage against all intruders. Above all, these dogs must demonstrate not only vigilance in guarding without making a mistake, but must be guarding out of diligence and a questioning nature rather than because they are fearful. For the first type will give the warning only when they are sure something bad is happening, and the second type will get excited about every little noise or false suspect.
It does not matter that house guard dogs have heavy bodies and are not swift of foot. They are meant to carry out their work from close quarters and do not need to run far. In fact, these dogs want to stay behind closed walls or at the house without even trying to run off. They do their work very well by their astute sense of smell, which informs them of who is coming, and they warn with their bark whomever is approaching not to come near. And if
the person persists in approaching, they violently attack.
Indeed, the most important quality in these dogs is that they are guards and do not permit an attack. The second quality is that if provoked, they will defend and fight with vigor and tenacity.”
Also from Sherilyn Allen’s book The Official Book of the Neapolitan Mastiff: "To comprehend the Neapolitan Mastiff, you must read the existent ancient descriptions of mastiffs. You will then understand that this breed has not changed materially for the past 2,000 to 5,000 years. When you understand what ancient instincts run in his genes, you will understand what the cute, wrinkly puppy is going to grow into. Then you will be more able to rationally decide whether the Neapolitan Mastiff is the animal for you and your lifestyle."
He is a giant dog. General conformation is that of a heavy brachymorphic whose trunk is longer than the height at the withers. The height at the withers is 65 to 75 cm in males, while in females from 60 to 68 cm. The length of the body is 15% greater than the height at the withers. The total length of the head is equal to 1/3 of the height at the withers. The muzzle is 1/3 of the total length of the head.
The bones of the legs are very large. The character is strong and loyal, not unjustifiably aggressive or biting, defender of property and people, always has a vigilant, intelligent, noble and majestic demeanor.
Preferred colors are: Lead gray, black, as well as mahogany, tawny and stag. Allowed small white spots on the chest and/or toes. All coats can be brindled. The paler colours of hazelnut, dove gray and Isabella are tolerated.
They have the potential for all “big dog” problems. Bones, joints, growing pains etc. Probably more than 50% will get “cherry eye” which is the tear gland under the third eyelid popping out (removal is the best long term fix rather than risking blindness). There isn’t space to get into all the potential issues but they are well covered in Sherilyn’s book.
They drool (don’t feed them inside), they snore, they have gas, they have giant feces. Adults can eat 3-5 chicken carcasses a day plus good quality dry food. So budget for another human to feed! They will go get a big drink with water running down their lips and dewlap and then want a cuddle from
you, completely soaking your lap if you didn’t have a towel handy to dry them off.
Some HATE cats, some LOVE cats, but you won’t know until they meet! Some get along well with other dogs, some want them dead. Generally whatever you have when you get the pup is accepted, but introducing new things can be challenging. Sometimes when a family decides to have a human child the Mastino accepts it and is protective, but sometimes it’s a screaming threat that needs to be eliminated.
They NEVER live long enough. Even with more and more reaching or exceeding 10 years it is still not enough. The average age for death (worldwide) is 8 years, but we still have many dying younger. Cancers, heart failures etc. All I know is even with the shorter life I will never be without them. They pack more life into their years than any other breed.
True character Mastini are not simple to train. There is an independence and arrogance which questions “why” or “why now, I’ll do it later”. Firmness and consistency are crucial to developing the pup into a mannered, respectful adult. If you don’t want a 75kg (or more) dog lying on your
bed or couch, don’t let that cute 12kg pup do it! Making sure you are the alpha goes a long way for a successful relationship.
If you have taken the time to find out all you can and you still want to have a Mastino, here are some examples of living with one (or more).
We’ll call her Lucilla. She was a four year old that had been living with her family since she was 10 weeks old. The family was Dad, Mum, a 3 year old daughter and a Golden Retriever. Lucilla’s favourite pastime was playing dolls with the daughter (she just lay nearby watching). Most days she would accompany Dad to work. She kept quiet in the corner or under the desk and occasionally gave a scare to someone coming in to see Dad.
In the evenings after the daughter was tucked in for the night she would watch TV with Dad, Mum and the Golden. On this particular evening everyone heard a strange noise, both dogs snapped their heads towards the garage and then took off in that direction. Lucilla arrived first and grabbed the intruder’s thigh. Her lion-like jaw held on and teeth sunk in deeply. Dad yelled out, she released.
The intruder ran for the front door with the Golden barking hysterically the whole time. Lucilla was hot on the tail of the intruder, but once he’d left the territory she came straight back to Dad.
Dad phoned the police. There was a lot of blood so the police started checking hospitals. The intruder was located. The doctors relayed that the bite had hit the femoral artery and that the femur bone had marks from Lucilla’s teeth. Turns out the intruder was an escaped criminal.
Another female in another family, we’ll call her Sasha. Sasha was around 5 years and had very little experience with children. She was on holiday with her family and their friends who did have 2 boys around 10 years of age. The boys were playing catch and everyone was relaxed and only half watching them. Suddenly it was realised that Sasha was circling the boys, but it didn’t look menacing. Everyone watched, wondering what on earth Sasha was planning. The boys stopped playing catch and started to go for a walk. Sasha continued her large circle around them. One of the boys stopped. Sasha went over to him and ‘pushed’ him toward the boy. She stayed with them until they returned. After that she was nicknamed “the nanny”.
Years later Sasha was snoozing in the sun at home with another younger female (we’ll call her Bea). There was a racket coming down the driveway, motorbikes! Some teenagers were visiting and they went roaring past the house. Bea sprang into action and tried to ‘catch’ them, Sasha jumped after Bea and grabbed her by the neck and pulled her down. A large fight ensued which had to be broken up and the two females were never friends again. But, Sasha wouldn’t put up with Bea trying to hurt kids.
They really want to be with you especially if you only have one. We’ll call him Orso. Orso was the only dog in a family of 2 adults. He had a huge preference for ‘Dad’, but this was cultivated by ‘Mum’ not making sure she was equal with ‘Dad’. Orso would have been around 6 months old when he started growling at ‘Mum’ for stepping on his rug/bed. Mum and Dad thought it was ‘cute’. Before a year had passed, Orso bit Mum. Not too badly, but bad enough.
Dad wasn’t interested in re-homing Orso so moved him out of the house and Mum could feel safe. So one day Orso broke in by head butting the door. Dad changed the door. Orso broke the window. So Dad built a metal enclosure for him in the corner of the front yard. Any time they had visitors over Orso would fling his body against the fence and roar at them. By the time he was 4 years old he had bitten several people. Mum made Dad call the breeder of Orso and take him back. Orso lived out his life roaming the property free from fencing, happily guarding and occasionally biting. Doing what he was born to do.
Are you always going to see such dramas? No, there are some Mastini that prefer to be couch potatoes and are downright lazy when they reach adulthood. But that cute little pup isn’t going to tell you which way his genes are leaning. And of course how you raise that pup will also influence his behaviour.
Before you commit to this breed, buy or borrow Sherilyn Allen’s book and begin to understand what you are getting yourself and your family into.
From ENCI (Italian Kennel Club): An artwork in the balance of strength and power, of feline movement and harmony that is not easy to fix genetically,
and another reason that makes them even more fascinating to breed or own. The unique head and the unmistakable expression with a pattern of wrinkles which have been enriched and shaped year after year. The Neapolitan Mastiff has been passed on to us, through the centuries, forgetting time, preserving intact its rich and flowing majesty like the thick cloak that gathers around the head and shoulders like that of an aristocratic Renaissance lady.

Biosecurity is about preventing the spread of infectious diseases on your property. It involves preventive measures to reduce the risk of infectious disease, and the spread of disease if this does occur.
Multi-animal environments with animals living in close proximity are ideal habitats for infectious diseases. The key to ensuring your kennel and dogs are protected is to be proactive about biosecurity.
These are some examples of diseases and parasites that can become an issue in a kennel environment or areas housing multiple dogs
Parvovirus Kennel Cough Giardia Gastro Enteritis Sarcoptes Hookworm RingwormKey elements to a good biosecurity plan include:
• New Animal Intake Protocol – All new animals should have a thorough health check and any signs of illness or disease identified and a treatment plan put in place. The animals should also be quarantined for a set period of time (usually 5-7 days) to ensure no other diseases are being carried.
• Quarantine Sick Dogs – Housing sick dogs in a separate area and ensure the cleaning, feeding and handling is done at the end to prevent transmission to other dogs.
• Health Checks and Monitoring – Daily health checks identify signs of disease early reducing the chances of an outbreak.
• Vaccination – All dogs should be vaccinated to protect against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis and kennel cough
• Sanitization Protocol –This is a three step process:
1. Mechanical removal of visible organic matter
2. Cleaning all areas with detergent
3. Disinfecting all areas, paying attention to the dilution rate and the minimum contact time the product needs to be left on surfaces.
• Areas including enclosures, crates and kennels, transport trailers, shared areas such as exercise yards and corridors, food preparation areas and items such as bedding, food and water, toys and handling equipment (leashes, coats, brushes etc) must be included in the sanitization protocol.
• Parasite Treatment – An internal and external parasite control program must be developed.
• Pest Control – Rats, mice, cockroaches and other pests must be managed to prevent the spread of disease.
• Waste Management – Waste water from kennels, faeces, hair, spoilt food etc must be disposed of correctly and not allowed to run into neighbours property or protected areas.
• Record Keeping – Good record keeping including treatment dates, incoming and outgoing animals and detailed health records of all dogs will help in preventing a disease outbreak as well as assisting in the management of a disease outbreak by being able to identify the source and further allow modifications to current practices to prevent issues in the future.
• Signage and Footbaths – Include signs at the entr y to your facility and consider using foot baths at the entry and exits of kennels and buildings.
Poor biosecurity can impact the health and welbeing of your animals and can be a costly exercise. By having a good biosecurity plan in place, and adopting the elements above, the risk of disease outbreaks can be minimised.

Pictured right: Vaginal cytology from a case of an aborted litter at 6 weeks gestation. Images, right and below:Dr Hanah Holm BVSc, Central Veterinary Surgery, MareebaOn a beautiful April morning at Dogs Queensland a dedicated small group organised a SprintDog/ Lure Coursing Tryout Day that attracted dogs of all breeds, and crosses thereof, big, and small, young, and old with equally dedicated owners ready to let their dogs loose to chase a plastic bag!
The atmosphere was electric with all the smiling faces and the conversations between total strangers flowed, new friendships were made and most importantly the dogs had a ball with majority showing they are bag chasing demons.
Over 100 dogs were entered, and the dogs decided how little or how far the wanted to run! Their happy faces captured beautifully through the lens of the talented Penny Parker. This fun day found some new competitors for both SprintDog and Lure Coursing and was an opportunity to showcase what Dogs Queensland and dog sports is all about to those who were new and wanting a sport their dog could have fun doing.
The Club wishes to thank all that attended for the fantastic day with so many friendly and happy faces!
SprintDo will be official from 1 July 2024 with some
exciting trials being planned. The Lure Coursing season runs from late April to September with 20 trials available during this time.

Alf’s particular interest in the Working Group breeds was initiated by the acquisition of his first Old English Sheepdog in 1976. This developed further in 1983 when he owned and exhibited “Aust Ch. Talismans Royal Salute (Imp USA)”, with considerable success, followed by a home bred bitch, Aust Ch. Winstead Mae West, sired by Salute out of Aust Ch. Winstead Lucy Locket.
In addition to Old English Sheepdogs Alf became involved with another working breed when he bought his first Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) for his daughter Shona to show. That dog was Gr Ch. Jopearl Manhattan Moon. At the same time he also showed, with his wife Sandra, another Old English Sheepdog, Aust Ch. Greylaze Centre Stage. His involvement with Pembroke Corgis continued for the rest of his life.
As well as being a successful exhibitor, Alf was also a well respected All Breeds Judge. His judge’s training commenced in April 1984 when he attended lectures for Group 5, and was included on the Parade Judges list in October 1985. He was
appointed to the championship All Breeds Panel in 2007.
Alf was a past Councillor on the Canine Control Council (Qld) and was a life member of the Gundog and Heavy Breeds Club of Qld. He served on the Conformation Judges Committee and over the years he held various executive and committee positions in both breed and all breed’s clubs.
Alf’s involvement in the Dog World led to many lifelong friendships and gave him the opportunity to judge in all states of Australia, both North and South islands of New Zealand together with appointments in Asia.

Bundaberg Canine Club have done it again! An excellent Easter showcase of canine exhibits from across the east coast flocked in droves for six shows across four days with a fantastic entry of up to 621 dogs on show.
The Bundaberg Canine Club were proudly sponsored by Advance Pet Care and we thank them very much for their annual support in assisting with the very successful Easter long weekend with a full panel of seven highly experienced International judges.
The Bundy club said, “We take great pride in our shows and our venue and thank the Bundaberg Regional Council for the wonderful venue we hire. The arena is prepared especially for our shows and this year I feel the surface was one of the best we’ve had! Thanks must go to Simon and Ben for all their hard work and great preparation of the grounds.”
This year the club used two areas – the undercover arena, which the club have used since 2015, and this year the main indoor pavilion which allowed more space for the seven show rings and high exhibitor numbers. There were three groups in the main pavilion and four groups in the undercover arena. This was Margaret-Rae Norton’s late husband, Tony, great idea to use both areas as they are so close and allows so much more space for the growing exhibitor numbers. Tony as most know in Zone 2, was Bundaberg Canine Club’s President for many years and it was great to see his ideas come to fruition … what a great tribute!
The Club thanks all the exhibitors for their feedback throughout the weekend and after the shows – the comments have been fantastic and certainly appreciated. Well done to the committee for giving some new ideas a go and trying their best to accommodate all the exhibitors into undercover
areas. I know I have had feedback too from people right across Australia that were either at the show or watching some of the live streaming and people were impressed with the venue and the management of the shows … great work Bundy!
As secretary of the Bundaberg Canine Club, Margaret would like to personally thank the exhibitors for supporting the shows. “I’d also like to thank from the bottom of my heart the small band of club members who assist with the setting up and running of our shows. Without you there would not be this amazing International Easter Extravaganza”. And I could not agree more … club committees are a thankless job and many people give so many, many hours of their time voluntarily to try and run the best events possible for the exhibitors and their dogs.
An event of this size is an event that takes over twelve months to prepare for and organise and the committee members certainly outdid themselves. They have set the benchmark high for the Zone and the state of Queensland … well done Bundaberg CC!
The club would also like to thank the couple of non-club members who are always there to help. You know who you are and they thank you! Also included in the wonderful weekend were the photographers who had a great time capturing the fun of regional dogs shows, Spinifix Photography … thank you for being so accommodating and snapping some of the fun as well as the most highly awarded Best in Show winners too.

Sarina Kennel Club Inc are back to fundraising again in 2024 with the support of the local Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc in their Great Community Fundraiser.
Sarina KC have said, “We’re calling all canine friends and family – it’s that time of year where we do our major fundraiser. Our club was successful in gaining tickets again this year in the CAR RAFFLE so let’s see if we can break our record from last year in selling as many tickets as we can and seeing one of our friends win this great car!”
This year sees a brand new Nissan Qashqai ST Auto on offer valued at $38,336. Tickets can be purchased from the below link through Show Manager. If you have friends that would like to buy tickets that are non-doggy people and have no Show Manager account, then tickets can also be purchased directly through the Sarina Kennel Club Inc by contacting Jasmyn Grendon on 0407 500 019 or email billabong_jazz69@hotmail.com
Please support this small club located in Central Queensland who dedicate so may voluntary hours to the development of their club grounds and endeavour to provide one of the best venues for shows in northern Zone 2.
In 2023, 82 local community organisations were involved in this raffle which raised $119,226 in funds that went back to local community groups including Sarina KC. Last year the club members sold just shy of 5000 tickets which returned to them nearly $10,000 in fundraising dollars … let’s see if we can help them raise more than that this year and have that large undercover ring assembly area finished for everyone to enjoy.
The car will be drawn on 12 August 2024 and live streamed on the Sarina KC Facebook page. Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased in bundles of 5 or 10 ticket lots.

In keeping with the Dog Queensland Rules and Regulations (42.4 – page 43), clubs are advised schedules are to be submitted to the DQ office at least 3 calendar months prior to the month of publication of the Show Schedule. Please note that schedule advertising must appear in the Dog World magazine 2 months prior to the event (a total of 5 months).
Late schedules will appear in the following edition of DQ’s Dog World magazine.
For example, the schedule for a show to be held on 23 November 2024 would need to be submitted to the office by 23 June 2024. This allows for the 3 months prior to the schedule being published in the August 2024 Dog World magazine, which is the required 2 months prior to the date of the show.
