I profumi di Lorenzo Villoresi nascono dal profondo rispetto per le singole materie prime. Percorrendo le rotte dei mercanti del Rinascimento, suggestioni e spezie orientali incontrano fragranze e colori di Toscana. Oli essenziali ed estratti preziosi provenienti da tutto il mondo si armonizzano ad elementi prettamente toscani come il lauro, l’olivo, il cipresso, la radice di iris. La produzione, nata nel 1990, proprio nell’antico palazzo di famiglia nel centro di Firenze, è ancora totalmente artigianale, secondo procedimenti che chiedono tempo, pazienza, meditazione, esperienza per far nascere proposte per la persona e per la casa, uniche anche nell’ambito della profumeria artistica. Lo stesso Palazzo ospita il Museo dell’Arte del Profumo, un percorso attraverso miti, leggende, ingredienti, processi, tradizioni, notizie scientifiche, curiosità. Una narrazione irresistibile che ha come cuore l’Osmorama, la biblioteca degli odori, una raccolta ricca di ingredienti aromatici antichi e moderni. L’universo delle fragranze raccontato attraverso percorsi interattivi, esperienze come le postazioni olfattive, un database dedicato. Accanto al Museo sta nascendo l’Accademia, che ospiterà corsi, seminari, workshop.
Lorenzo Villoresi’s perfumes are born from a deep respect for the single ingredients. Travelling the routes of Renaissance merchants, Oriental spices and atmospheres meet the fragrances and colours of Tuscany. Essential oils and precious extracts from all over the world harmonise with purely Tuscan elements such as laurel, olive, cypress, and iris root. Production, which began in 1990 in the ancestral family palazzo in the centre of Florence, is still done entirely by hand, according to procedures that require time, patience, meditation, and experience to create fragrances for the individual and the home that are unique in the field of artistic perfumery. The same palazzo hosts the Museo dell’Arte del Profumo, an exploration through myth, legend, ingredients, processes, traditions, science, and anecdotes. An irresistible story at the heart of which is Osmorama, the library of fragrances, a collection rich in ancient and modern aromatic ingredients. The universe of scents told through interactive and experiential itineraries, including olfactory stations and a dedicated database. Next to the Museum is the Academy, which will host courses, seminars, and workshops.
