OUR HISTORY FROM THE BEGINNING Dome Construction was founded in 1969 as a Construction Manager and General Contractor specializing in commercial renovation and new construction projects in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. AREAS OF EXPERTISE Laboratory Specialists We have developed an extensive expertise in many different areas of laboratory projects. Biology or Chemistry, BSL, H-Room or any other project scope element – we understand the unique challenges and have developed methodologies to adjust our construction approach accordingly. Our in depth knowledge of typical lab equipment ensures that the supporting utility systems are designed, coordinated and constructed correctly.
cGMP Manufacturing We have extensive knowledge in constructing production facilities to cGMP regulatory standards. We have built both large and small scale facilities for Clinical and Commercial production operations. Our understanding of the validation process required for such facilities along with our commitment to superior quality ensures successful results on every project. We understand that the equipment procurement process can be critical to the overall project success and we will ensure that this process is integrated into the overall project execution planning.
Noise/Dust/Vibration Mitigation Many of our projects are being executed in mission critical facilities. We have a fantastic track record of implementing construction projects in occupied facilities without impact to ongoing operations. Proactive planning of construction barricades, Lock-out / Block-outs to isolate utilities combined with careful scheduling and coordination of all invasive construction activities, are key requirements on many of our projects.
Shutdowns (Minimal Disruption) Carefully planned and executed shutdowns for critical utility tie-ins have become routine elements on most of our projects. Our clients can rely on us to meet our timelines and get critical utilities back in operation on time. Many clients entrust us with managing their annual shutdowns of mission critical facilities.
Warehousing & Materials Management Services We have become accustomed to managing the warehousing and materials management aspect of our projects. Many clients rely on our expertise to receive all owner furnished material and equipment, coordinate all necessary inspections and ensure all parts are available for installation when required.
Validation / Commissioning During the course of project execution we develop a Start-Up & Commissioning Plan and a TOP Manual outline that will clearly identify the activities required to successfully commission and turn over a project. This early planning effort will assure a successful transition = % % E MEP Specialists, our extensive knowledge of the systems that we build, the quality with which we build them, and the complete understanding of how they are used during normal operations.
