1
When the trumpet of the Lord sound, And time shall be no more, And the morning breaks, eternal bright and fair; When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
2
CHORUS: When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.
3
On that bright and cloudless morning, When the dead in Christ shall rise, And the glory of His resurrection share; When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. Let us labour for the Master from the dawn till setting sun, Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care, Then, when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done, And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.

1. Hymn 1: Shall We Gather At The River (RCCG HYMN 747)
1
Shall we gather at the river, Where bright angel feet have trod;
3
But before we gain the river, Lay we every burden down,
With its crystal tide for ever
Jesus, here from sin deliver;
Flowing by the throne of God?
Those whose there Thy grace will crown.
CHORUS:
CHORUS:
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
That flows by the throne of God.

We will walk and worship ever:
Soon our golden harp strings quiver,
His dear footsteps following.
With the melody of peace.
On the margin of the river, Guided by our Shepherd King,
Soon we’ll reach the crystal river, Soon our pilgrimage will cease,

1
God be with you till we meet again;
Daily manna still provide you;
By His counsels guide, uphold you,
God be with you till we meet again!
With His sheep in love enfold you; God be with you till we meet again.
3
God be with you till we meet again! When life’s perils thick confound you,
Till we meet, till we meet,
Put His arms unfailing round you;
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
God be with you till we meet again!
Till we meet, till we meet, God be with you till we meet again.
4
God be with you till we meet again! Keep love’s banner floating o’er you,

God be with you till we meet again!
Smite death’s threatening wave before you;

BIOGRAPHY
A life of God’s favour
David Kwesi Duncan (DKD)
D
avid Kwesi Duncan was born on the 26th of June 1949 to Lucy Ekpo and Thomas F.D. Duncan. He lived a greater part of his life with his mother in Surulere Lagos, born without a silver spoon,
he had little hope of education but God who knew him before He was born caused Chief Obafemi Awolowo to declare free Primary Education in the then Western State of Nigeria. With a curious mind in search of more knowledge, he really wanted to progress in his formal education but there was no means as nepotism was the order of the day, and gaining admission into any of the government colleges required knowing someone, once again God intervened and there was a military coup that disrupted the order of the day and he got admitted to Government Trade center Yaba, where artisans are trained to graduate with a Craftsman Certificate. Equipped with a Craftsman certificate in Mechanical Engineering, he worked with Lever Brothers of Nigeria as an apprentice, a fitter but knew he couldn’t stop there, so he enrolled for GCE while attending evening classes at Trinity Secondary Technical School, Surulere. He spent only one year when God once again ordered the steps of men to favour him and caused Yaba College of Technology to experiment admitting people with City and Guilds for evening classes to graduate with Ordinary National Diploma. He obtained his OND and worked briefly with Thermocool PZ as Production work study officer. David gave his life to Christ during his OND days and joined the Youth for Christ Association under All Saints Church, Montgomery
Yaba. Full of life and glee, he was an active member of the Drama group and volleyball team. A lover of nature and travel, he had visited every state in Nigeria, and a greater part of West Africa and Western Europe. He proceeded to do his Higher National Diploma and worked barely 9 months with Cadbury Nigeria as Engineering workshop superintendent as the HND program was a full-time course. Being a principled gentleman, he used his savings to pay for his year one fee and gave the rest to his mother for her upkeep while he was away in school and assured the landlord that he would clear up the house rent when he finished. Thank God he agreed! Despite the financial constraints, he successfully completed his two years HND program by working odd vacation jobs and proceeded to do his National Youth Service with the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Corps in Cross River state. He worked with NEPA as a Pupil Technologist and finally got back to work with Cadbury Nigeria where he meritoriously rose up the career ladder from Maintenance Engineer to Strategic Business Unit Manager till he retired in 1996 and heeded to the call of God. David joined the RCCG Otta family and was ordained as a pastor in 1995, and became a full time Pastor in 1997. Adept at explicitly breaking down complex ideas and a soft spot for children, he served as a contributor for the National Teens and Children Zeal production, then functioned as the Chairman
with RCCG and worked through from worker to Assistant National Secretary. He retired in 2019 having served in Ogun State, Kwara State, Delta and finally Plateau State. Pastor David married Pastor Mrs. D. K Duncan in 1979 and was blessed with 5 children and many grandchildren.
of the Teens and Children Convention Planning Committee in 1999, and eventually Head of Department of the Directorate of Teens and Children Education in 2000 Within this capacity he organised several children camp outs and retreats. Pastor David diligently served the Lord while Pastor David Kwesi Duncan, Rest in power!

y Brother Kwesi, You were a beloved cousin, the best among us. I will never forget our pleasant interactions during our early childhood. You were very kind and protective of me, your junior cousin. As the years rolled by, our brotherhood was consolidated mainly because you remained connected to my side of the family and continued to demonstrate kindness and interest in the welfare of the extended family. Your home in Surulere was my holiday place during my university years at IleIfe. Your auntie, my late mother, held you in such high esteem that you were always used as a good example for the rest of us, all because of your humility and kindness. She was right. You were very humble, honest, and kind. I have so many pleasant memories of you. However, being chosen as the best man at your wedding to Kehinde was an honour which I cherish to this day. The most enduring memory for me is that you loved the Lord. You were diligent and consistent in your service for the Kingdom of our Heavenly Father and His dear Son, Jesus Christ. Your commitment to evangelism was commendable. So, I am comforted by the assurance of the resurrection morning. I am assured of your seat at the Great Banquet. I will miss you on this side, but I also rejoice that you did not die, but merely changed address.
A
man of many parts, an engineer per excellence
who left his flourishing career to become spread the good news of God as a full time Pastor. I salute your courage, integrity, humility, wisdom, love, empathy and sacrifices. The greatness of a man is not measured by the amount of Yam in his ban, but how many stand in salute of him as he proceeds beyond time into eternity. A prophet of God always eager to win souls for the kingdom of God, no wonder your last words was “tell my children to evangelize”. May your gentle soul rest in peace. Amen Olufemi Phillips (Brother in Love)

randpa, I did not think you would go so quickly, I thought you would still stay some time and teach me some of your skills in farming and handiworks especially the engineering skills. It was on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 that I saw my mum starting to cry, then I knew that you were gone even though I had dreamt that you were going to go but I wonder why God allowed this, because I knew everyone did not want him to die yet. I know God wanted him to go for a reason. I am going to really miss you greatly. Miss you, Aridunnu Ijasan-Toks

y dearest Kwesi, I am so overwhelmed with grief as I write this piece. Life stood still for me on the morning of Saturday, 22nd January, 2022, when the shocking news was broken to me. Your demise is so much of a shock though you had been intimating me that your system was slowing you down. It had started with the spinal problems some time ago which gave you so much pain, but your efficient physiotherapist daughter nursed and managed you back to good health. That gave me relief and assurance. I thank God for having had you as my brother (Our Dad had only the two of us as his children) and the memories I have of you are so pleasant and unique. Today I want you to know that, more than any conversation we had, your exemplary lifestyle taught me so much about life…………. First, Character is one’s greatest asset. Behind all your life’s success, your greatest asset was your love for God. You had a certain hopefulness and confidence which served as an assurance to me at all times that all would be well. You could sense it when I was stressed, and just sitting quietly beside me, brought such relief! The youngsters in my home remarked that they felt so much at ease in your company. Secondly, consistency and integrity earns you the trust of others
Pastor David Kwesi Duncan, Rest in power!
Brother, you exhibited loyalty and integrity to your family and everyone around you thereby, earning the trust of your family and outsiders. You always reminded me in the daily “WhatsApp” posts that, - Taking care of your health is necessary. I can still picture the buckets of Noni fruit you used to pluck and carry back to your friends in Nigeria whenever you came to Accra or Agona Nsaba; always concerned with the well-being of others! Again you shared your success with the less fortunate you were compassionate and caring. You always extended a helping hand to the poor and needy. The friends you made at Agona Nsaba and the GNAT Hostel Staff in Accra, bear testimony to that. For me, the most important lesson you taught about life was to be secure in your future. You were so humble. Of course you had your fair share of life’s vicissitudes yet you worked hard, achieved commendable success, and made wise, careful decisions. My brother served God well, looked to him for worth, and followed his guidance in shaping his heart. He had nothing to be afraid of, because he knew God was in him and with him.
find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies” Proverbs 31:10. Sister Kehinde, I remember you in your youth when your first daughter was barely four (4) years old. You travelled together with your husband to Kumasi, Ghana to support him bury our Dad. Those were tough times then in Ghana but you persisted. Then you made the journey alone to Accra to help me bury my husband, five (5) years ago. I cannot thank you enough. Your husband still praises you!. The family in Ghana says “yε da wo ase, asewpa” (We thank you so much, you have been a good in-law). We had all been expecting Brother David in Ghana over the last Christmas holidays, yet it was not to be. God knows best. Brother David, your children and grandchildren stand and bless you. You will be missed very dearly. Your lessons will continue to guide me for the rest of my life. It was a time wellspent with you. Thank God for being my brother. Kwesi, all the family in Ghana join me to bid you farewell. Rest well till we meet again. Love always Irene.
