Runoff through garbion wall (white edging)
Zone A: Runoff control - bioswale consists of native perennial grasser, with herbaceous and woody vegetation that slow runoff and absorb most contaminants Zone B: Managed forest consists of slow-growing trees and shrubs that provide wildlife habitat, and mitigate remaining contaminants from Zone A
Zone C: Undisturbed forest riverside zone consists of fast-growing, flood-tolerant trees and reedy plants that stabilize banks and cool water through shading. Multi-functional wall Materials: Concrete slabs paving

SOCIAL ,ECOLOGICAL & HISTORICAL APPROACH
Design process:
Design concept: 1
2
The design attempts to bring back the historical context to current use with social interactive spaces and play ground where to allow social activities, also, multi-functional facilities are introduced for visitor to adventure. A transitional deck path behind the retaining wall is designed to link with Porter Brook (river) and the social space.
3
The ecological buffer zone consists of a bio-swale(at the edge of the exist works), a terraced remediation wetland with gabion wall system then join the river which allows nature process instead of human intervention of the river.(Reason for not access the water see journal process).
Steps & wall details:
3m retaining wall with hollow carved words (taken from old graffiti content) frame provides transparency for people to see through.
