is a professional consulting firm specializing in the planning and design of facilities for corporations, camps, healthcare providers, higher education and community service groups throughout the United States. We are a 30+ person office, functioning with a team approach that maintains consistent involvement of appropriate disciplines in all phases of each project’s planning, design and development. Our team consists of a multi-disciplinary staff of architects, planners, landscape architects, and interior designers. Full participation in collaborative efforts and understanding of the client’s specific needs are of paramount importance in the execution and success of each project. Our team is flexible and highly efficient at listening, analyzing, and responding to our client’s needs. We deliver cost effective, creative design solutions that address each client’s special requirements. Client satisfaction is our primary measure of successful performance. The greatest indicator of this satisfaction is our growing list of repeat clients and referred projects. — Domokur Architects was founded in 1975, under the partnership name of Peterson/ Raeder Architects, for the professional practice of architecture. The firm’s commissions and staff size grew steadily and the company was incorporated in 1981. The current firm name was implemented in 2008.



Master Planning

Our insightful planning services synthesize the skills of Domokur Architects’ multidisciplinary experts to prepare recommendations and strategies for property development and redevelopment. Our work includes projects for municipalities, park districts, private developers, public trusts, non-profit organizations, and corporations. Site Rehabilitation / Reuse

Restoring property formerly used for manufacturing, waste disposal, or other industrial purposes revitalizes the property and surrounding areas and creates positive momentum for the entire community. Staff at Domokur Architects has experience in creating the vision and leading the process to redevelop degraded sites into first class amenities.

Trails and Greenways

We work with communities, park districts, and non-profits to visualize, prioritize, design, and implement trail systems. These systems incorporate a variety of trail types to connect pedestrians and bicyclists with neighborhoods, parks, schools, offices, business districts, and other destinations. Domokur Architects provides public outreach and engagement, education, and grant writing as important complements to the planning process.

Camp Planning and Design

Domokur Architects’ experience includes working with over 400 camps, from seasonal resident camps to year-round training and retreat centers. Projects range from the design of basic shelters to master planning entire camp facilities. Our clients include the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA, Easter Seals, medically-based camps, religious groups of all faiths and denominations, and public park systems throughout the United States.
