EXPERIENCE Rides & Attractions Host Chessington World of Adventures Resort (Merlin) March 2013 – November 2015

DOM UNDERWOOD I am a highly motivated and focused design student currently in my second year studying Industrial Design & Technology (BA) at Loughborough University (UK). I have a passion for design with an eye for detail and am able to contribute competent design skills as well as original and creative ideas to any task. With three years experience in customer service at Chessington World of Adventures Resort (part of Merlin Entertainments) I have developed strong communication and organisation skills which make me an effective team player with enthusiasm to meet new challenges and learn new skills.

Working on a variety of Rides & Attractions within team Indiana (2013) and team Congo (2015). The role involved working in a high pressure environment offering the highest level of customer service possible whilst ensuring safety procedures and checks were carried out thoroughly. During my time I achieved 100% on an external mystery shop. Skills learned: Customer service, dealing with customer complaints, team work, adhering to guidance on safe practice HSG175, cleaning (COSHH)

2 x Two Week long experience placements completed while in secondary school education. I was given the opportunity to shadow within several departments during my time including the Consumer Insight/Research, Modelling and Design department. This developed my design skills and gave me experience in time management as well as how to effectively work as part of a team. The placement also gave me an overview of how a product is influenced at each stage of the design process.
