A healthy diet: An oxymoron? Many might feel that trying to eat healthy at college is as easy as trying to bathe a cat. Without the time or recourses, it can seem like a losing battle but not having the right nutrients in your body can leave your body feeling weak and can play in to being a cause for your sickness. Instead of choosing fast food every day, try going for the healthy alternative or eating fruits and vegetable at home. Not only will your body feel better and battle sickness better, but it will also leave you more refreshed and ready for every day.

The need of sleep Sleep can be such a hard thing to get when you are in the college life. You don’t have your wonderful mother there to feed you soup while you sit in bed. Furthermore, your roommate probably just a new stereo and loves blasting his new metal albums for everyone in your apartment complex to hear. Sleep can be difficult in the college atmosphere but can go a long way when it comes to getting better. Letting your roommates know you are feeling under the weather can help a lot and maybe they will even turn their music down… for a few hours. .

The bottom line Whatever you choose to do to help yourself stay out of sickness, having some sort of plan for when the bad day does roll in and you get sick can go a long way.
