The term "archifashion" is ambiguous. It can be understood more specifically as an architecture conscious of its striving for change. The documented attitude justifies a relationship between fashion and architecture concerned primarily with functions, aesthetics and rationale rather than one that attempts to deal with a non-ideological, neutral field. For progressive-minded architects of the nineteenth century and their twentieth-century successors, it seemed essential to create a unified architectural style that would reflect its age, just as previous styles had reflected theirs. Also, in the great historical periods artists had not been free to choose the style in which they worked. Their mental and creative horizons had been circumscribed by a range of forms that constituted their entire universe. The artist came into a world already formed. Two polar positions can be applied to modern tradition is undeniable. But the line between them is hard to define. The new age must exhibit the cultural totality characteristic of all historical periods. Hence, we cross the boundaries of the fields of studies and the audience. The Symbolists held that art should not imitate appearances but should reveal an essential underlying reality. But I believe that it should also be visually pleasing and functional.
Archifashion Volume 01
The book consists of number of projects and essays that can be read either as self-contained narratives or as part of a larger whole, each dealing with a cluster of related themes reflecting an important moment in the confrontation of architecture and fashion.

Study Model Version. 01
3D Modeling
Applying Epoxy and Alcohol ink
Finish
We started out with sketches and drew the refined lines in Autocad. The 3D model was generated to complete the lasercut file and we used plywood and acrylic sheets to build the physical model.
The frame itself was built as a mold for epoxy. We used alcohol ink to add translucent color for visibility. The process was kept as similar as possible to the process of creating stained glass.
The finished model expresses the rose window of the European Cathedrals. We call it Renai, a renaissance of a rose window and stained glass with a modern fashion element.

MINI GETA VILLAGE Geta are able to support people due to their fundamental structural shape. The form is similar to historic structure, dolmens. A dolmen is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, dating from the early neolithic period (4000 B.C.E to 3000 B.C.E) They con-sist mostly of two or more upright stones, supporting a large, flat horizontal cap-stone(table).

Geta are a form of Chinese and Japanese traditional sandals. They were originally invented in China but
“When we concentrate on the essential elements in design, when we omit all superflous elements, we find forms become: quiet, comfortable, understandable and, most importantly, long-lasting.”
later adopted into Japanese culture.
Dieter Rams, 1976
The purpose of the unique form of geta is to lift the feet high above the ground in order to keep them dry in snow and rain.

“Of course there is a lot of fluidity now between art, architecture and fashion – a lot more cross-pollination in the disciplines, but this isn’t about competition, it’s about collaboration and what these practices and processes can contribute to one another.” – Zaha Hadid –

BLACK ROSE Gothic Architecture is an architectural style that evolved from Romanesque architecture and was achieved by Renaissance architecture. The beauty of Gothic Architecture is the sharpness of structure, and heavy details of ornaments.
GOLD ROSE Through the evolvement of Renaissance to Gothic, rose window has also established its own style. Its characteristic included fine lines of frames, narrow corners, and high density.

Double Skin Facade Double Skin Façade: So Called “Green Architecture”, consists of two layers of glass or façade, creating a cavity wall. The outer Layer of the facades frees the building from heat gaining due to the sunlight. Cool air flows into the building and as it gains heat, it evacuates outward the windows of the facades helping this process through out. In addition, the double skin façade blocks noise from outside, covering unwanted material from exterior exposure. The façade can also generate harmony with the interior. The system, when applied in Fashion, creates similar effects. Double skin layers block sunlight; openings allow air to flow while keeping the body from being exposed.
Exploded Axonometric Similar to the double skin facade system shown on the left, the structure of the glasses are formed in multiple layers. The purpose of the both structure systems are to create a shading system to let in proper amount of sunlight. This exploded axonometrics states the similarities of certain elements from both fields.
COLLABORATION
A LOT STUDIO. x ARCHIFASHION Champions Creativity
Above all Art is to be Embraced, art is to be celebrated through design Design is a form of human expression. What is art to the future of human expression? As creatives, we are numb to the frigid markets that produce meaningless product. We feel deprived of individual expression, detached from art and design. Is mass-produce-sell-repeat the future? Corporate droids have whitewashed our realm of creative ideas deeming them “unfit” to play into societal norms, leaving us with the mainstream scheme of things.
Our creativity has been dulled, impoverished, all in the name of societal explanations for what they choose to define as “reality”. They have handicapped the pure existence of wanting something different & purpose-driven. But what of the apocalyptic dreams we aim to represent? Is there hope for them outside of the LOREM IPSUM templates? Is there hope for them, outside of the rhetoric identity of data being the new oil? We believe there is. A world of art vs reptiles. And with that mission in mind, we founded A Lot Studio, a collection space where our essence is inclusion. We feature, exhibit and collaborate with upcoming artists.

“This city is crawling with uptight, middle-class pseudos trying to look like the money they don’t have. Status symbols. It cracks me up. It is like they are walking around with price tags stapled to their heads. - But we can’t stand on the sidewalk all day to screaming at people to clean up their acts, so we write on walls.” -Jean-Michel Basquiat-
