Danny Dao is a veteran artist of the Vietnamese graffiti world, one of the two guest artists of the Jam program. Starting to draw in 2005, when hip hop culture gradually spread throughout the country, he attached himself to the walls and painted vases for 16 years.
Danny Daos is considered a pioneer in the modern
graffiti movement in Ho Chi Minh City, leader of the ALL-In-One Graffiti group withhundreds of young artists. Having been with street art for more than a decade, Daos understands very well the difficulties and opportunities that graffiti brings to those who want to engage in this subject.
“Drawing graffiti is not like holding a pen and paper. Because you’re going to have to draw in front of a lot of people, and it’s harder to control a paint can than to hold a pen,” Daos describes his first days with graffiti. He humorously recounted the days when he “scribbled” on the walls without permission. “If I was in the middle of drawing, I had to run away if I was discovered. Then I’ll come back at night and finish the work. The next morning, everyone wakes up and forgives themselves for the beautiful work.”
DANNY DAOS, also known as DAOS510 and hisAs a French-Vietnamese, his full name is Bui Trang Suby. Since his first discovery of Graffiti in 1992, his works have appeared in many metro areas of Paris. Later, Suby turned to galleries as a Graffiti artist and sculptor. His signature style is the brilliance of color.
Memorable milestones in career:
• December 2012 – January 2013: Organized the exhibition “Reborn SubyOne” in Paris, France.
“Vietnam will be Southeast Asia ‘s Graffiti focus ”
• April - July 2014: Organized the exhibition “Build and Destroy” in Paris, France.

“Born and raised in France, Suby One has been exposed to and passionate about Graffiti since a very young age. For him, Graffiti is the language to convey the ego of youth. Returning to his hometown, Suby wants to contribute to bringing this street art. “Developed more brilliantly in Vietnam.

However, Graffiti still has many limitations, of which the most important is still a place for Graffiti artists to be allowed to show off their talents. With the mentality of “missing something to find”, many of you are forced to go everywhere to find a spacious place to be painted, sometimes an abandoned house,
constructions about to be dismantled,... But places like That is not always available to meet the needs of drawing and painting of many young people who love Graffiti in Saigon. Although more and more clubs, groups and competitions are created, in order to create
conditions for you to have a field to showcase your talents and rub shoulders. However, those are just playgrounds that are held once in a while. So normally young people can practice and show off where they don’t lose their beauty, that’s the real problem!
The works are a combination of Vietnamese and European artists: Cresk and Enni (Germany), Daes and Marc Lee (Switzerland), Kleur and Bouda (France) as well as two other artists from Vietnam: Suby One and Daos501.
Before you want to draw, you need to get permission clearly, do not take advantage of this place to draw graffiti or dirty. Absolutely do not draw or incorporate sensitive and political elements.”
