DELE stands for Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language. It is an exam of great value for students who want or need to obtain an official certificate of their Spanish language proficiency level. You can prepare for the DELE official exam with our Intensive DELE Exam Preparation Courses.

Certify your Business Spanish Proficiency with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Exam organized in collaboration with the University of Alcalá. This certificate is internationally recognized for Business Spanish and gives you an edge in the corporate world.

If you do not pass, we will give you a 4 week long Intensive Spanish Course and will pay for your re-examination fees.

SIELE certifies students’ Spanish language proficiency through four tests that evaluate different linguistic skills: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and interaction, and oral expression and interaction. Scoring corresponds to the European Council’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You can either take the Global Exam which certifies all four skills, or take separate exams which certify each skill individually. Location: At any don Quijote school. GENERAL CONDITIONS don Quijote Uk In-Country Language Courses Ltd (hereinafter called “don Quijote”) whose registered office is at Suites 110111 Britannia House 11 Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith, London W6 0L organises and acts as agent for overseas bodies which offer and supply students and others with tuition and accommodation, for in-country language courses, and may arrange insurance for students. don Quijote as agent effects all bookings and reservations for students unless notified to the contrary, and it may, at is discretion, intercede, without charge on behalf of students who become in dispute with any persons or bodies in connection with any matters arising provided however that don Quijote shall not thereby be liable or become liable in any way in connection with any such matter nor does it vouch for the content or accuracy of any brochures or publicity documents prepared for students by any such persons or bodies and it is accepted that students’ possible remedies shall be against such overseas bodies only. “The student” means a person or persons who have signed the application form for such an in-country language course (or if under age a parent or person in loco parentis of such person or persons). Where a booking is made for more than one student the body or organisation making the booking will be regarded as the student for the purpose of this agreement. In consideration of the price agreed to be paid for its Principals’ courses and accommodation as set out on the Registration Form the following terms and conditions shall apply as between the parties: GENERAL • don Quijote guarantees that all descriptions of programmes, accommodation, and complementary services in the 2018 dates/prices are updated (any and all special arrangements and/or agreements should be set in writing and signed by don Quijote). • The personnel in charge of airport pick-up and transportation to accommodation are insured, completely familiar with the area and know exactly where the students are to be dropped off. • don Quijote is a member of the following national and international organizations: eduSpain, NAFSA, Ideal Quality Certificate, AATSP, ALTO, AMACFE, FEDELE, AECAE, ACTFL and ELITE. • Our academic centres in Alicante, Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Marbella, Salamanca, Seville, Tenerife and Valencia have been approved by the association eduSpain and by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce. • don Quijote guarantees a maximum of 8 students per classroom (10 at our other IEG schools) in the Intensive courses and 15 students in the DELE and Chamber of Commerce courses, Summer camps and Junior programme. • don Quijote’s conditions do not apply to partner schools. Each partner school has its own conditions. For more information, please contact our Head Office. • don Quijote reserves the right to use all photos and videos taken during the student’s stay. Students should be aware that they may appear in IEG’s or partner’s promotional material, unless the student expressly states he/she does not wish to appear upon arrival at the school. • The published offers cannot be accumulated. All offers are subject to availability. There will be no changes made to bookings that have been received prior to the promotion. All offers and promotions will be applied upon enrolment. Discounts that became available after the first enrolment are not valid. • The enrolment fee is valid for one year from the first reservation made for all IEG schools in Spain and Latin America. In other words, any courses reserved during a 12 month period can be made using the same enrolment fee. • In the exceptional case that only 1 or 2 students are enrolled in a course in the same level, the school reserves the right to convert the course into a private or semi-private programme which will result in a 50% reduction of class hours. • In cities where programmes are also available at other schools with Ideal Education Group, classes can be combined at any time. • Any complaints must be submitted in writing and within the first 24 hours helpdq@donquijote.org This ensures that we can take care of the issue as soon as possible and seek a quick resolution. Only complaints made during the student’s stay have the right to any possible compensation, refund or changes. Any complaints made after departure will only be accepted as suggestions in order to improve our services. ARTICLE 1 - THIS AGREEMENT 1. Upon signing the registration form or paying the programme fees, the student accepts all of the conditions described above. If, under any circumstances, uncontrollable by don Quijote, accommodation prices increase, don Quijote will notify the student ahead of said changes. This price supersedes the previously existing price and is valid from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 for all programmes taking place between these two dates. don Quijote is not responsible for typographical errors and/or misprints contained in this price. Printed in August 2017 and subject to change. 2. Find the most updated version online at: www.donquijote.org 3. The Law of England shall apply to this agreement. ARTICLE 2 - COURSE ACCREDITATION 1. A personalised don Quijote certificate will be issued for studies in accordance with the guidelines established by the Instituto Cervantes and the current legislation regulating nonaccredited education. 2. This certificate will contain the name of the course taken, course level and number of hours completed. The name of the school in which the class(es) were given, dates of enrolment and level achieved will also be included. 3. This certificate is not valid as an official document in

accordance with the legislation regulating nonaccredited education. 4. Course verification will only be issued to students who attend at least 85% of their classes. 5. ARTICLE 3 - CREDIT NOTES 1. Credit issued due to exceptional circumstances is only valid for up to 12 months from the date of issuance. Once the 12 month period ends, the student loses the right to the credit or refund. 2. Credit is valid only for the geographic region for which it was issued (i.e., credit issued for Spain is not valid for programmes in Latin America) and is nontransferable to other students. 3. Credit note can not be converted into a refund. ARTICLE 4 - ACCOMMODATION 1. For registrations received a week or less prior to the beginning of a course, don Quijote does not guarantee the type of accommodation desired and requested by the student; priority is given to students who register further in advance. 2. In the event that a student is not satisfied with the assigned accommodation for any justifiable reason, the student may move to another accommodation of the same type (up to 3 changes allowed). Students wishing to change accommodation arrangements should notify the person in charge during their first day of the programme. 3. All students should inform don Quijote or the host family in advance of their approximate time of arrival. In the event that one of the previously mentioned parties is not contacted, don Quijote will not be held responsible for greeting or picking-up the student upon arrival. 4. don Quijote does not guarantee accommodation for the family members or friends of enrolled students, as priority regarding available accommodation is given to don Quijote students. 5. If a student decides that he/she wants to postpone or take a break from any programme for unjustified personal reasons, he/she will lose any right to a monetary refund, and the course will not be made up. 6. The student will be charged for property damages caused either intentionally or through negligence. 7. If there is damage and no one is directly responsible, the cost of repairs will be divided among all students in the apartment or residence. 8. At don Quijote, respect for others and for the rules is essential for our programmes to run smoothly. Students’ failure to follow the established rules will be grounds for withholding the accommodation security deposit. Some examples of behaviours that merit forfeit of the accommodation deposit include: having guests stay overnight, making loud noises, smoking in the bedrooms, having parties, consumption of alcohol, consumption of any narcotic or harmful substance, and any other conduct that don Quijote management considers inappropriate. 9. In the case of a serious disciplinary offence or repeated bad behaviour, the student will be expelled from the accommodation contracted with don Quijote without the right to a refund. 10. Apartments and student residences may be substituted by other types of accommodation, at the same price, during the high season. 11. If you reserve a shared double room (shared with another student) and there is no other student with whom you can share the room, we reserve the right to change your room at any time. 12. A minimum stay of 16 weeks (with accommodation) is required to apply for registration of residency. ARTICLE 5 - GENERAL COURSE CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES CANCELLATIONS IEG SCHOOLS 1. All programme fees must be paid at least 4 weeks prior to arrival otherwise don Quijote reserves the right to cancel the student’s placement. 2. The £ 230 deposit will not be returned for any cancellations made. For cancellations made with less than 6 weeks, the minimum charge of the cancellation fee is the enrolment fee plus 2 weeks of programme and accommodation. 3. All refunds, under any circumstances, include an administration fee to cover the administrative costs of processing a refund (a minimum of £ 65), along with the standard fee for reservation changes (9% + £ 230. Refunds of less than € 100 will be paid via check issued in Spain at no extra cost if the student is still in Spain. If the student is outside of Spain, the refund will be paid by bank transfer and will include a minimum € 35 administration fee. 4. All students who wish to cancel their programme (course and/or accommodation) prior to arrival should notify don Quijote in writing by e-mail dquk@donquijote.org or by certified mail. 5. Cancellations not received via one of the 2 aforementioned means will not be accepted. 6. In no case whatsoever will a refund be made for the cost of the programme or accommodation once the programme has started (except if the refund guarantee has been purchased). 7. Changes of destination, school, accommodation or programme are free for courses in Costa Rica (Santo Domingo de Heredia), Ecuador, Mexico, and Spain (subject to availability, paying the price difference if applicable). For all other changes to your confirmed reservation for programmes in Spain and Latin America € 210 / $ 250 will be charged for administrative costs, at any time after arrival. All changes are subject to availability. 8. Course break: 1 free week off for every 8 weeks of study (2 weeks notice required). In all other cases, taking a

break during your course will incur a fee of £ 50 and accommodation must be paid in full for the original programme length (subject to availability). don Quijote cannot be held responsible for cancellations due to Act of God, health or personal problems. CANCELLATIONS PARTNER SCHOOLS AND THIRD PARTIES 1. Participants who cancel their Spanish + Internship or Volunteer programme at IEG schools in Spain or Latin America, or any programme at partner schools in Latin America, or a private apartment or hotel reservation, up to 4 weeks before it is scheduled to begin will be charged a £ 500 cancellation fee. If this programme is cancelled within 4 weeks of the programme start date, the full price of the programme will be charged. CANCELLATIONS SUMMER RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME 1. For the confirmation of reservations made 4 weeks or less before arrival or less, the total invoice must be paid in full at the time of enrolment. 2. For summer camps £ 850 penalty will be applied to cancellations made in the last four weeks prior to arrival. 3. No refund one week before or after arrival in any case. ARTICLE 6 - PREMIUM CANCELLATION GUARANTEE 1. If you want to avoid cancellation expenses, in case of any need or illness, we recommend that you contract the cancellation service, the cost of which is 9% of the total amount of the invoice. It must be paid upon booking and covers any reason for cancellation at any time. You may cancel all or part of the programme. 2. The insurance is only valid anytime if you paid at the time of booking, before arrival. 3. Any refund of the insurance amount will incur an extra cost of 9% (minimum of £ 65). 4. The price of the course and accommodation will be charged for the week during which the cancellation is made if the student makes that cancellation on a Monday, otherwise both the week of cancellation and the following week will be charged. 5. The cost of insurance will not be reimbursed. 6. In order to cancel a language programme, the student must give notice via e-mail to seg@iegrupo.com The day after the e-mail is sent will be considered the day the course has been officially cancelled. Cancellation is only valid once an e-mail has been received. For this reason it is important that the student is certain that the e-mail has been received. The money will be returned within 30 days of the official cancellation date. 7. The insurance policy must be signed and paid in full upon enrolment in order to be valid. You can add extra services but not decrease the coverage. 8. Students who require and have obtained their visa through don Quijote can purchase the cancellation guarantee, however their cancellation will only be considered once the student provides proof of having left the host country. In these cases, 9% of the amount to be refunded will be charged to cover administrative costs. 9. Only valid for Spain, Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Ecuador and Santo Domingo de Heredia in Costa Rica. ARTICLE 7 - TRAVEL DOCUMENTS 1. Relevant travel documents may be arranged between a designated Travel Agent and the student or the student may make his/her own travel arrangements. 2. Students themselves must arrange prior to departure all necessary travel documents in connection with their abroad i.e. valid passport, valid visa (if required), driver’s license, green card. 3. Any costs, damages or other charges arising from cancellation or curtailment due to a student’s failure to comply with the above shall be the sole responsibility of the student. ARTICLE 8 - OPTIONAL INSURANCE 1. Students are not covered for any illnesses, accidents, loss of personal property (neither at their accommodation nor in or out of the classroom). don Quijote recommends the use of optional insurance, which is available to all students who wish to purchase it. ARTICLE 9 - AIRPORT PICK-UP SERVICES 1. Flight information (place, date, hour and flight number) must be confirmed in writing at least one week prior to arrival. Otherwise, don Quijote will not be held responsible for picking-up the student at the airport and there will be no refund. 2. If the student cancels airport shuttle service less than one week prior to arrival, he/she will lose the right to a refund of the cost of that service. 3. In the event of delays or changes in flight information without previous notification, don Quijote will not be held responsible for picking-up the student at the airport and there will be no refund. ARTICLE 10 - HOLIDAYS 1. Please check for updated holiday information before planning your trip to Spain and Latin America www.donquijote.org/holidays 2. Classes missed due to national or local holidays will not be made up or refunded. When more than one holiday falls in the same week (Monday – Friday), either one day of the missed classes can be made up or a 10% discount will be applied to the corresponding course week price; if students prefer to receive the discount they must notify us at the time of enrolment. One-to-One classes will always be made up.
