Everyone knows Tyrannosaurus rex. But do you know this mega-predator evolved to become the most fearsome carnivore of the Mesozoic? Meet the entire tyrannosaur family through fossil casts and life-sized models of hatchlings, juveniles, and full grown, towering T. rex with engaging interactives that will reveal the amazing story of this iconic dinosaur.
This exhibition, an annual favorite, features up to 500 live, free-flying tropical butterflies from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The butterflies are housed in a vivarium that approximates their natural habitat, includes live flowering plants that serve as nectar sources, and features controlled artificial light, temperature, and humidity.
