From the Director's Desk
The past year was arguably one of the most turbulent in recent history. Barack Obama became the 44th President of USA, the Pittsburgh Summit resulted in the announcement of G20, replacing the erstwhile G8 as the new permanent council for international economic co-operation, towards the end of the year, leaders of the world got together in Copenhagen for the United Nations Climate Change Conference and from profit margins and share prices, “Corporate Sustainability” is now the new mantra of business. 2009 also had its share of misfortunes with terrorism continuing to be a major threat all over the world, the H1N1 pandemic, earthquakes and other natural disasters, the Dubai debt crisis and finally, the various scandals that rocked sports, politics and the corporate world.
All this requires that we give our children a well balanced education that creates the ability to meet adverse situations with an ethical frame of mind. At Indira, we strive to adopt a holistic approach to education, integrating physical, emotional and social development of our students, complementing it with a sound academic base. This enables our students to get a headstart in an increasingly complex environment and prepares them for the challenges of tomorrow. To help us in this task, we have been ably supported by a creative management, excellent and trained faculty, a modern campus with all facilities and a best in class infra-structure. I invite you to come and undergo the “Indira Experience” where the bar is raised higher every year.
