STAGE SUMMER PAVILION DNIPRO, UKRAINE COLLABORATIVE DESIGN CROWD-SOURCED CONSTRUCTION PROTOTYPE FOR A PERMANENT STRUCTURE collaborative design team: Kuba Snopek Tomek Świetlik Katarzyna Dorda Kamil Szoltysek Riccardo Mariano Polina Chebotareva Jens Pedersen investor: Construction Festival realization time: June 2017
STAGE is an experimental public space, where anyone can organize an event for their friends. It has been build for the 4th edition of Construction festival - an independent art and music event. The roof is a gigantic acoustic tube, similar to those in old gramophones. Anyone can attach their small source of sound (i.e. a smartphone or a small speaker) and instantly organise their own event. The design is a prototype and we want the people of Dnipro to help us test it. In 100 days we’ll deconstruct the prototype and start working on the brief for the permanent construction – STAGE 2.0.

BARRANDEZVOUS HOUSING ESTATE PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
REALIZATION PLANNED FOR 2018-19
On plots with an area of 16.500 m2, we are preparing an apartment project with extensive green areas and a romantic concept of shared space. Apart from roughly 130 residential units, prospective residents can also look forward to kindergarten, services and smaller office spaces. We believe that living should not be made only by internal walls, so each apartment has a garden, a roof terrace or a large balcony overlooking the park. The green heart of the project offers a playground, a natural amphitheater and plenty of places for a pleasant stay.

PUBLIC SQUARE CERVENY KOSTELEC, CZECH REPUBLIC 3RD PRIZE IN A COMPETITION REALIZATION PLANNED FOR 2018-19 The public square between the schools is one of the most important public spaces in the city. This space is connected with the history of the city and its traditions including the annual international folklore festival, which is hed in the adjescent theatre. The historical park with the dominant monument situated on the axis of the square is leading the visitor towards the theatre. Along the borders there are many important cultural buildings, which elevate the atmosphere of the space. The new design has a very simple and classic layout which comes directly from the history of the place and the future activities for the residents, students of the neighbouring schools and visitors of the festival. We proposed a program that will activate both the new community center but the whole park.

WHITE SEAS PUBLIC PARK CRACOW, POLAND 2ND PRIZE IN A COMPETITION REALIZATION PLANNED FOR 2019-20 landscape architects: Karolina Porada Katarzyna Dorda Weronika Galcak investor: University of Technology in Cracow area: 110 000 m2 realization planned for: 2018-20
Today’s area of the „white seas” is a reclaimed area, where habitat resurgence is very visible. It is also characterized by anthropogenic shape and complex soil conditions. The design is based on the least invasive interference in the area - its tourist accessibility should not be negatively impacting on the regenerating ecosystems. Numerous visitor attractions have been combined with a range of eco-friendly solutions. The park consists of 3 parts: the northern part (above the center of JP II), the central part (with distinction of the lower and upper levels) and the southern zone (separated by the street Podmokła) and the river park along Wilga river.

PRIVATE GARDEN SKITLAWKI, POLAND REALIZATION 2017-18
landscape architect: Katarzyna Dorda architectural design: Joanna Wachowicz investor: a young couple area: 1 720 m2 realization planned for: 2017-18
The most important was separating the private area from the area accessible to all visitors. The garden had to be divided into zones functional for larger events as well as smaller groups of the B&B visitors and comfortable for owners at the same time. The private garden has a relax zone and a gardening one on the edge of the forest with a greenhouse, vegetable beds, small farmhouse and a compost. An orchard is a natural buffor between this part and the home garden. Hidden in the forest are: a dog park, a hammock area, chalets and camping area with the sanitary facilities. The lake bank has a wooden deck with a kayak stand, and a sauna with a platform.
