La Notaría No. 5, llevó a cabo el sábado 14 de diciembre su tradicional posada con motivo de las fiestas de fin de año. El evento se realizó en el Hotel Marriott de Marina Vallarta y fue una lujosa cena en la que los asistentes disfrutaron de una gran velada y de la música de cumbia que imprimió un gran ambiente a la celebración. Fernando Castro dirigió un emotivo mensaje en el que comentó que el camino no fue fácil para conseguir lo que ahora tiene y que sigue luchando día con día para seguir adelante. ¡Enhorabuena!

The Notary`s office No. 5 held on Saturday, December 14 its traditional Christmas party because of the holidays. The event was held at the Marriot Hotel of Vallarta Marina and it was a luxurious dinner in which the attendants enjoyed a great night and some cumbia music that imprinted a great atmosphere to the celebration. COLEGIO TEPEYAC
El pasado 11 de diciembre, el Colegio Tepeyac llevó a cabo su tradicional evento navideño en el que participaron todos los grados de la institución, desde preescolar, hasta preparatoria, dando inició a las 5 de la tarde. Los alumnos representaron una súper obra que llevó por nombre “La fábrica de Santa” que los espectadores disfrutaron en grande. No faltaron los puestos en donde los asistentes pudieron adquirir deliciosos alimentos como tamales, hot dogs, tacos al pastor, churros, aguas frescas, etc. El evento terminó a las 10 de la noche dejando mucha alegría y satisfacción a todos los presentes.

Last December 11th, the Tepeyac School had its traditional Christmas event where all students from the institution participated, from preschool to high school. It began at 5 p.m. The students presented a play which was called “Santa’s Factory” that the audience really enjoyed. There were food booths for the guests to buy delicious food like tamales, hot dogs, tacos al pastor, churros and fruit juice. The event finished at 10 and it brought a lot of joy and satisfaction to everybody.

El Centro Universitario de la Costa recibió al primer actor Ignacio López Tarso, en el marco de la Celebración y Homenaje a 50 años de filmación “La Noche de la Iguana”, donde cerca de quinientos asistentes, escucharon la experiencia actoral y vivencias en su larga trayectoria artística, dentro y fuera de nuestro país. Este evento se realizó en el tercer día de actividades de la Celebración y Homenaje a 50 años de filmación “La Noche de la Iguana”, donde el primer actor a sus 88 años de edad y 65 años de carrera artística, cuenta con la denominación “Doctor Honoris Causa” título que le otorgó la Universidad de Guadalajara, el pasado siete de marzo, convirtiéndolo en el primer actor mexicano en recibir dicha distinción. El primer actor agradeció la compañía de los ahí presentes, además de agradecer la invitación al recinto universitario, ya que vivió un grato momento. El Dr. Remberto Castro Castañeda, Secretario Académico del Centro Universitario de la Costa en representación del Dr. Marco Antonio Cortés Guardado, Rector del CUCosta, entregó los reconocimientos al primer actor Ignacio López Tarso, Iván Trujillo y María José Zorrilla Alcalá por su participación en el marco de la Celebración y Homenaje a 50 años de filmación “La Noche de la Iguana”, evento organizado por el Centro Universitario de la Costa y la Escuela Preparatoria Regional de Puerto Vallarta a través de la Universidad de Guadalajara.

The University Center of the Coast welcomed the first actor Ignacio Lopez Tarso, in the frame of the Celebration and Tribute to 50 years of the shooting of the film “The night of the Iguana”, where around five hundred attendants, listened to the acting and life experience of his long artistic path, both national and international. This event took place on the third day of activities of the Celebration and Tribute to the 50 years of the shooting of the film “The Night of the Iguana”, where the first actor, who is 88 years old and who’s been in the showbiz for 65 years, has the denomination “Doctor Honoris Causa” degree that was given to him by the University of Guadalajara, on March 7th, turning him in the first Mexican actor in receiving such distinction. The first actor thanked the company of those that were present, and also the invitation to the university since he had a pleasant moment. n esta edición, nos acompañan en la portada Liliana González Guerrero y Carlos Alán Méndez González, quienes nos concedieron una interesantísima entrevista para conocer más sobre ellos.
Desde muy joven, me ha apasionado mucho el uso de la mercadotecnia y las tecnologías, me gusta cómo ésta mejora cada día, más la manera en que vivimos y hacemos las cosas dentro del sector productivo. Esto se ha vuelto el aire que respiro todos los días, es muy grato hacer lo que hago, siempre digo que tengo un “trabahobby” y eso me ayuda siempre a dar lo mejor en cada uno de los proyectos que desarrollamos para las empresas que representamos.
dos8: ¿Cómo se conocieron? L y C: Aquí en Puerto Vallarta, coincidimos en el mismo salón de clases en la Universidad. Anteriormente, ambos estudiamos en carreras diferentes, incluso en otras ciudades y un buen día, sin conocernos, decidimos cambiarnos de universidad y entrar a estudiar la Licenciatura en Mercadotecnia; ahí fue cuando nos conocimos, nos tocó trabajar un proyecto y al parecer hicimos buen equipo, porque a partir de ese día no dejamos de salir juntos.
dos8: Vallarta es un lugar paradisiaco para vivir, ¿cómo está el puerto en cuestión empresarial? L y C: Sin duda alguna, Puerto Vallarta es el mejor lugar para vivir. Vallarta es una tierra llena de puertas abiertas y oportunidades para generar más, sólo es cuestión de verlos desde esa perspectiva y hacer algo para generarlo, Vallarta es un lugar que no sólo brilla por sus espectaculares rincones naturales e iconos históricos, sino por la gente que lo habita, es por eso que debemos mostrarle eso a todos los visitantes que se dan cita en esta ciudad. En el aspecto empresarial, como todos sabemos, la mayor parte de la actividad económica en la ciudad proviene del turismo. En el momento en que se reduce el flujo de oxígeno generado por los visitantes, es natural que el destino se asfixie, por eso es importante que se busquen áreas de oportunidad con otros mercados y deslindar tanta dependencia de una mezcla de mercado tan reducida como lo que tiene Puerto Vallarta con EUA o Canadá. Sabemos lo que implica, pero también sabemos que es necesario, para que todos en la ciudad puedan respirar con más tranquilidad.
dos8: ¿Cuánto tiempo llevan de novios? ¿hay planes de que se casen? L y C: Empezamos en Junio de 2008 y sí, hemos hablado del tema, pensamos que en un poco más de un años, vamos a hacerlo realidad. dos8: ¿A qué se dedica cada uno? Liliana: Desde hace 6 años trabajo organizando bodas. Diseñamos, planeamos y coordinamos los eventos y tenemos servicio de banquetes. Proveemos diseño personalizado a cada uno de nuestros clientes, adaptándonos a sus necesidades y deseos, buscando siempre superar sus expectativas, pues es uno de los días más importantes de su vida. Carlos: Soy propietario de una Agencia de Marketing Digital y Desarrollo de Software. Como empresa, nuestro mayor know how se concentra en la industria hotelera, donde desarrollamos plataformas estratégicas de control y estadística, sitios web y diseño de planes comerciales para diversos corporativos hoteleros.
dos8: ¿Como es un día normal de ustedes? Liliana: Trabajar, ir un par de horas al gym, leer y dormir. A veces salimos al cine o a cenar, en fin de semana salir con amigos y familia. Carlos: Pues prácticamente, tener jornadas de trabajo muy largas, leer mucho, ir al cine, somos cinéfilos los dos, y reunirme con los amigos cuando hay oportunidad.

Dos8: Vallarta is a paradisiacal place to live, how is the business matter in the port? L y C: Without a doubt, Puerto Vallarta is the best place to live in. Vallarta is a land full of open doors and opportunities to generate more. It’s only a matter of looking at it from that perspective and do something to generate it. Vallarta is a place that not only shines for its spectacular natural and iconic history places, but also for its people, that’s why we should show it to all visitors that come to this city. As for the business, as we all know, most part of the economic activity comes from tourism. The moment that the flow of oxygen generated by visitors is reduced, it’s natural that the destiny chokes, that’s why it is important to look for different areas of opportunity and delimit so much dependency of the mix of such a reduce market as the one that Puerto Vallarta has with USA and Canada. We know what it implies, but we also know that it is necessary, so everyone in this city can breathe more peacefully. dos8: How is a normal day for you guys? Liliana: Go to work; go for a couple of hours to the gym, read and sleep. Sometimes we go to the movies or to have dinner, and at the weekend we go out with our friends and family. Carlos: Usually I have long hours at work, I read a lot, I go to the movies, we’re both addicted to the movies, and gather with my friends when there is a chance. Dos8: What are your New Year’s resolutions? L: To learn French, to travel more C: full field a couple of projects. Dos8: Where did you spend the Last New Year’s Eve, how do you celebrate? Every year we get together with our families at Carlos house, we have dinner together and we play some games, have some time together, they are fun nights.

In this edition Liliana González Guerrero and Carlos Alán Méndez González agreed to be our models in our cover and we had a very interesting interview to get to know them better. dos8: How did you two meet? L y C: Here in Puerto Vallarta, we were at the university in different cities and one day, without knowing each other, we both decided to change to another college and study marketing; it was then when we met, we were assigned to the same project and apparently we made a good team, because since that day we never stopped hanging out. Dos8: How long have you been dating? Are there any weeding plans? L y C: We started dating in June 2008 and yes we have talked about getting married, we think that in a year we are going to make it happen. Dos8: What do you do for a living? Liliana: I’ve been working for the past 6 years as a wedding planner. We design, plan and coordinate the events and we have a caterer service. We provide personalized design to each of our clients, adapting to their necessities and wishes, always looking forward to exceed their expectations, since it is one of the most important day of their lives. Carlos: I am the owner of a Digital Marketing and Software Development Agency. As a company, our biggest “know how” is to focus in the hotel industry, where we develop strategic platforms of control and statistics, web sites and design of commercial plans for diverse hotel corporative. From a very young age, I’ve been passionate about the use of marketing and technology, I like how it improves every day the way we live and do things in the productive sector. This has become the air I breathe every day, it is very pleasant to do what I do, I always say I have a “workhobby” and that helps me all the time to give the best in every project that we develop for the companies we represent.

El presidente municipal, Ramón Guerrero Martínez y el gobernador del estado, Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz, inauguraron las obras del proyecto integral para Mitigar Inundaciones en la Zona de Portales, las cuales tuvieron una inversión de casi 59 millones de pesos, aportados por los gobiernos Federal y Municipal, a través del Fondo para la Prevención de Desastres Naturales (FOPREDEN). En su mensaje, Ramón Guerrero Martínez, destacó que con estas acciones la zona de Portales que sufría inundaciones, se brindará tranquilidad a los habitantes de la zona que año con año veían afectado su patrimonio. Asimismo agradeció a los diferentes niveles de gobierno, que junto al Ayuntamiento, sumaron esfuerzos para que esta obra beneficie hoy a los vallartenses.En este acto estuvieron presentes, el Secretario General de Gobierno, Arturo Zamora Jiménez, el Secretario de Infraestructura y Obra Pública en el estado, Roberto Dávalos López, entre otros funcionarios estatales, además de diputados federales, estatales y vecinos beneficiados.Así mismo, se llevó a cabo la colocación de la primera piedra para la construcción de la Delegación Regional de Justicia Costa Norte. El alcalde Ramón Guerrero Martínez, el gobernador del estado Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz y el Fiscal General del Estado, Luis Carlos Nájera, dieron el banderazo de inicio para la construcción de estas instalaciones, ubicadas en avenida Las Palmas número 315, en Puerto Vallarta. THE GOVERNOR AND THE MAYOR OF JALISCO INAUGURATED WORKS The Mayor, Ramon Guerrero Martinez and the State Governor, Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz, inaugurated the works of the integral project to Mitigate Floods in the Area of Portales, which had an investment of almost 59 million pesos that were provided by the Federal and City government, through the Fund for the Prevention of Natural Disasters. (FOPREDEN) In his message, Ramòn Guerrero Martinez highlighted that with these actions the area of Portales, will get tranquility to its habitants. They were affected every year. He also thanked the different levels of government, that along with the city hall, added efforts for this work to benefit the people of Vallarta.This event was attended by, the General Secretary of Government, Arturo Zamora Jimenez, Secretary of Infrastructure and Public Work of the State, Roberto Davalos Lopez, among other state officials, along with federal and state deputies and the neighbors benefit.Likewise, was conducted the laying of the first stone for the construction of the Regional Delegation of North Coast Justice.The Mayor Ramon Guerrero Martinez, the State Governor Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz and the General State Fiscal, Luis Carlos Nàjera, gave green light to start the construction of these facilities, located at 315 Av. Las Palmas, in Puerto Vallarta. This work’s objective is: giving an adequate space for the practice of justice in the region, and also to give more trust to over 255 thousand jalisciences that will benefit with the works in this place.

MARKUS SCHULZ EN STRANA El 12 de diciembre, Strana presentó con gran éxito al famoso Dj y productor Markus Schulz. El Dj ya había asistido anteriormente a la firma de autógrafos en Galería Vallarta para después dirigirse a Mango’s Beach a iniciar la grabación de su programa” Global DJ Broadcast” junto con Mr. Pimp Dog de Telehit, que continuó grabando en Strana. Markus Schulz es un dj y productor alemán afincado actualmente en Miami, Florida, USA. Conocido internacionalmente por su programa de radio semanal titulado “Global DJ Broadcast” difundido en la actualidad por la emisora de radio online “Digitally Imported, que se emite cada jueves de 18:00 a 20:00. Markus Schulz nació en Eschwege. La pasión por la música le vino cuando visitó una emisora de radio en su 4ª curso. Esta pasión por la música fue creciendo con los años, años en los que ha viajado mucho, desde Alemania a Boston, de Boston a Arizona, de Arizona a Londres y finalmente de Londres a Miami, donde reside actualmente.Todos estos cambios le han ayudado a evolucionar e ir tomando distintas concepciones de la música hasta crear la suya propia. Empezó a hacer música en el año 1993, pero no fue hasta el año 2000, durante su estancia en Londres, donde creó su actual sonido con el que se siente identificado al 100%. A este sonido lo denominó Coldharbour porque su estudio de Londres lo tenía situado en Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, y allí fue donde tras pasarse días encerrado consiguió sacar un nuevo sonido con el que triunfa actualmente.En el 2005 publicó su primer álbum de artista llamado Without You Near con muy buenas críticas. Además también Markus editó la saga de compilaciones Coldharbour Sessions (2004, Miami ‘05 e Ibiza ‘06). Markus empezó a tocar a las 12 am y finalizó a las 3 am.

He had already been at Galería Vallarta to sign autographs and to be at Mango’s Beach to begin the recording of his program “ Global DJ Broadcast” with Mr. Pimp Dog from Telehit, who continued in Strana. Markus Schulz is a German dj and producer who lives in Miami, Florida, USA. He’s known internationally for his weekly radio program called “Global DJ Broadcast” by “Digitally Imported”, that is broadcasted every Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00 Markus Schulz was born in Eschwege. The passion for music started when he visited a radio station when he was in 4th grade. This passion for music became bigger and bigger during the years that he travelled a lot.from Germany to Boston, from Boston to Arizona, from Arizona to London and finally from London to Miami, where he lives nowadays. All these changes have helped him grow until he was ale to create his own music. He started making music in 1993, but in the year 2000, when he was in London, he created his current sound. He named this sound Coldharbour because his studio was located in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, and this is where after spending some days working on that, he managed to made the sound that makes him successful now.. In 2005, he recorded his first album called Without You Near. It had really good reviews. He also recorded the saga of the Coldharbour Sessions (2004, Miami ‘05 and Ibiza ‘06). The employees and the directors of that big company attended the event. They enjoyed a pleasant time at this elegant dinner organized specially for them. A lot of them turned out as winners of the presents that were raffled. Besides they took the opportunity to recognize Mr. Jorge A. Lopez Cañedo 25 years of service in the company. Una gran posada fuera de lo común, fue la que organizó el Hotel Sheraton para los ejecutivos del hotel, el pasado 18 de diciembre. La posada tuvo como tema Las Vegas y estuvo decorada como todo un casino, que incluyó alfombra roja y en la que los invitados a esta cena de gala tuvieron la oportunidad de jugar y ganar billetes para intercambiarlos por boletos para una rifa. Después de degustar el exquisito banquete, la excelente música puso a bailar a todos los presentes, haciendo de ésta una fiesta espectacular.

TOYS FOR TOTS CENA DE GALA

El domingo 8 de diciembre, tuvo lugar la gran cena de gala de Toys for Tots, misma que se realizó en el Hotel Marriott CasaMagna Resort & Spa, con el fin de recaudar fondos para la compra de juguetes para entregar a los niños de bajos recursos en el mes de enero con motivo del Día de Reyes. En el evento también se llevó a cabo una subasta. Los pequeños beneficiados, son los que habitan las áreas rurales circundantes de Puerto Vallarta. Además, se piensa comprar e instalar juegos en los patios escolares El evento comenzó con un coctel de bienvenida a las 6:30 pm, seguido de una elegante cena. Conforme los comensales iban llegando, adquirieron un boleto para una rifa de diversos premios, como cenas en los restaurantes favoritos de Vallarta, estadías en hoteles de la zona y de otros destinos, tratamientos de spa, entre otros. Durante la cena, servida en hermosas mesas decoradas para 10 personas, la presidenta del Navy League local, dio la bienvenida a los invitados y presentó a un orador representante de las Fuerza Armadas en Estados Unidos. Finalmente, la fiesta estuvo ambientada por una banda que amenizó de manera excelente con música para escuchar y bailar.

Sunday, December 8th, took place the big dinner gala of Toys for Tots at the Marriot Hotel Casa Magna Resort & Spa. The purpose was to raise funds to purchase toys to give to underprivileged kids in January to mark the Wise Men Day. In the event also took place an auction. The little ones who will get these benefits, are the kids that live in rural areas nearby Puerto Vallarta. They are thinking about buying and installing new games in the playground. The event started with a welcome cocktail drink at 6:30 pm, followed by an elegant dinner. As the guests were arriving, they acquire a ticket for a raffle of different prices, such as dinners in the most popular restaurants of Vallarta, stays in hotels of the area and other destinies and spa treatments among others. During the dinner, served in beautiful round tables decorated for 10 people, the president of the local Navy League welcomed all the guests and introduced a speaker representing the Armed Forces of The United States. Finally, a great band entertained the party.

El viernes 20 de diciembre, se presentó en Strana, el desfile de modas anual de Victoria’s Secret, que la marca realiza para promover y comercializar sus productos en entornos de alto perfil. El espectáculo cuenta con algunas de las modelos más reconocidas de la moda como las actuales ángeles de Victoria’s Secret El espectáculo es un fastuoso evento con elaborada ropa interior, música de diversos artistas principales, y la escenografía de acuerdo a los diferentes temas que se ejecutan en el show. Atrae, además, a cientos de celebridades; cuenta con intérpretes especiales y actos especiales. Cada año, de veinte a cuarenta de las mejores modelos de moda son seleccionados para caminar en el desfile de moda. En un año típico, esto incluye alrededor de una media docena de mujeres bajo contrato con la empresa, conocidas como ángeles de Victoria’s Secret, que ayudan a difundir el evento.El evento, organizado por FT Producciones y Oscar Cuevas Productions, contó con la presentación del talentoso violinista Armenta, además de del Dj Danny Armenta.
VICTORIA’S SECRET PRESENTATION IN STRANA On Friday, December 20th, the Anual Fashion Victoria’s Secret runway took place in Strana. It is presented to advertise and commercialize their products in high profile places. Some of the most famous models, known as Victoria’s Secret Angels participated. The show is great! There is elaborated lingerie, music from various artists and a new set design for every different theme of the show. Hundreds of celebrities gathered to sing r perform special acts. Every year, around 40 of the best models are chosen to be at the runway. In a regular year, this includes about half a dozen women hired by the company, known as the Victoria’s Secret Angels, who will also help out to advertise the event. The talented violinist Armenta performed at the event organized by FT Producciones and Oscar Cuevas Productions..
