Iniciamos un nuevo año y con él, nuevos bríos para que la revista dos8 siga creciendo en el Puerto de Vallarta. Todo el equipo les deseamos que este año que inicia sea mejor en todos los aspectos; por nuestra parte daremos todo de nosotros para que así sea y que mes a mes, tengan un producto de calidad y con los mejores eventos de la sociedad vallartense. En esta edición publicamos los eventos del ultimo mes del 2014. Comenzamos con la portada, en la que sale una joven promesa de la actuación; él es Irving Contreras Plácito que a sus 19 años, ya tiene experiencia en las bellas artes e inicia el año estudiando la carrera de Actuación. Checa la interesante entrevista que le realizamos para que lo conozcas un poco más y aprovechamos para agradecerle su tiempo y dedicación para estar en dos8, y ya es parte de la historia de la revista dos8 Vallarta. Ya entrados en la cuestión editorial, este número comenzamos con una cobertura especial sobre el evento de Luminiafest, primer festival de pirotecnia realizado en el puerto, fue un espectáculo piromusical y castillos provenientes de Francia, Estado de México, Jalisco y Puerto Vallarta, además de artistas invitados como Mike Laure, Lila Downs, La Orquesta Sinfónica de la Marina, La Cuca, los 3 Zenzontles, Azul Violeta y la Sonora Dinamita. Por supuesto que estuvimos tomando fotos en las mejores posadas del puerto y las cámaras de dos8 estuvieron en la del Hotel Buenaventura, Hotel Dreams, Grupo Vidanta, de la Univa y del Vizcaya. En festivales navideños cubrimos los del Colegio Campoverde, Colegio Montessori y Colegio Fernández de Lizardi. En cuestión social tomamos fotos en la Boda Civil de Francisco Fabio y Lorena Rubio, en el cumpleaños de Sebastián Soto, en el cumpleaños de Isbella Capote y los XV años de Aisha Garibay. Welcome 2015! We start a new year and within this, new energy for dos8 magazine, so that it keeps on growing in Puerto Vallarta. All the crew wants to wish you a better year in all aspects. We are going to make our very best to make it happen and to make you have a product with excellent quality and the best events ever among the society of Vallarta month by month. In this edition, we published the events that were held in the last month of 2014. Let’s start with the cover, where a young hope of acting appears. He is Irving Contreras Plácito, a 19-year-old guy who has experienced as an actor, and next year he is going to start his studies in acting. Check how interesting his interview is, so that you get to know him a little bit better. We want to thank him for sharing his time and dedication to dos8 and to tell him that he is already part of the history of dos8 Vallarta. Talking about the editorial part, in this edition, we started the coverage of the event Luminiafest, which is the first pyrotechnic festival done in the port. It was a pyro-musical spectacle, and there were firework displays from France, Mexico’s state, Jalisco. There were some invited artists such as Mike Laure, Lila Downs, the symphonic Orchestra of the Marine, La Cuca, los 3 Zenzontles, Azul Violeta and Sonora Dinamita. Of course we were taking photos of the best Christmas parties in Vallarta and dos8’s cameras were in Buenaventura Hotel, Dreams Hotel, Vidanta Group, Univa and Vizcaya Universities. Talking about Christmas festivals, we could enjoy the ones at Campoverde, Montessori and Fernandez de Lizardii Schools: In the social aspect, we could take photos of the civil ceremony of Francisco Fabio and Lorena Rubio, the birthday of Isabella Capote and the fifteen-year-anniversary party of Aisha Garibay. As you could read, every month we have more and more events appearing in the magazine. Thank you very much for trusting us! Un padrísimo festival navideño se llevó a cabo en las instalaciones del Colegio Campoverde, Campus Vallarta, donde los alumnos de esta prestigiada institución educativa pudieron lucirse presentando espectaculares coreografías y actuando la obra navideña “Estrella de Navidad” con un emotivo mensaje sobre el verdadero significado de la Navidad y reflexionando sobre la unión, la amistad y demás valores que se enseñan en el Colegio. En el festival participaron todos los alumnos desde sección de maternal, hasta preparatoria, quienes lucieron increíbles vestuarios. El objetivo de estimular la autoestima y seguridad personal de los alumnos, también se cumplió a plenitud. Los papás disfrutaron al máximo al ver a sus hijos participando exitosamente, dejando un muy grato sabor navideño a toda la familia Campoverde. GREAT CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL AT CAMPOVERDE VALLARTA

There was a great Christmas festival at the facilities of Campoverde Vallarta, where the students of this prestigious educational institution could show their talent to a great audience, mainly formed by the parents of the students. They could see beautiful choreographies which were trying to transmit a nice message, so that the families do not lose the Christmas Spirit, giving emphasis to the essence of Christmas. This should be to value the union among the members of a family, friendship and all the living values at this school.. In this festival there was the participation of not only the students, but also teachers of pre-school, elementary school, junior and senior high school. The supporting staff was formed by the school’s personnel and students who were in charge of organizing this incredible event. Once over, the parents and students enjoyed a very nice kermes where they could get along a festival environment.

El pasado jueves 11 de diciembre, se llevó a cabo la inauguración de una nueva sucursal de la ya famosa cadena de las mejores alitas, Vancouver Wings Fluvial, que está ubicada en la nueva Plaza San Marino en la Colonia Fluvial Vallarta. A la apertura se dieron cita familiares, amigos y clientes quienes degustaron la gran variedad de salsas en las deliciosas alitas, hamburguesas, etc. ¡Todo el éxito para esta nueva sucursal! GREAT OPENING - VANCOUVER WINGS FLUVIAL The opening of a new branch of the well-known chain of the best wings, Vancouver Wings Fluvial was done the past Thursday, December 11th. This restaurant is located in the new mall Plaza San Marino in Fluvial Vallarta neighbourhood. Relatives, friends and clients came to the opening and they could enjoy a great deal of sauces with their winds and hamburgers among other things. firma Convenio con Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, en España Un paso más hacia su internacionalización significó para Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas la firma del CONVENIO MARCO DE COOPERACIÓN EDUCATIVA que se realizó el 1° de diciembre de 2014 con la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (España), con lo cual se estrechan lazos entre ambas instituciones educativas. Este Convenio se firmó teniendo como sede la Rectoría de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela en España y fue suscrito por el Rector Juan M. Viaño Rey por parte de la universidad ibérica, acompañado por el Dr. David Suárez Quintanilla, mientras que por parte de la Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas, firmó el Rector Jorge Richardi Rochín. Dicho documento surge de la necesidad de desarrollar medidas educativas conjuntas, a fin de reforzar y desarrollar la capacitación profesional de los estudiantes y docentes de ambas Universidades. De igual forma, se resaltan las siguientes actividades: Difusión entre los respectivos alumnos de la oferta de actividades formativas de la Entidad recíproca; Organización conjunta de eventos educativos, seminarios, jornadas, etc.; Organización conjunta de actividades educativas permanentes; Organización de prácticas formativas en México y España. La representación de la Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas para la firma de este convenio en España, estuvo integrada, además de su Rector, por el Vicerrector Académico, Lic. Ismael Lechuga Rodríguez; el Director del Campus Monclova de ésta prestigiada Universidad mexicana, Lic. Fco. Javier Urquijo Palma y el Coordinador General de las Áreas de Derecho y Criminología, Lic. Ricardo Jaime Lozada.
THE VIZCAYA UNIVERSITY SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, SPAIN. One more step to the internationalization was the signing of the Educational Cooperative Agreement, done on the first day of December, 2014 at the University of Santiago de Compostela ( Spain ). This helps strengthen bonds between both Educational Institutions. This agreement was signed at the University of Santiago de Compostela’s Rectory building in Spain. It was signed by Rector Juan M. Viaño Rey from the Iberian institution along with Dr. David Suárez Quintanilla, and Rector Jorge Richardi Rochín, from Vizcaya de las Americas University. This document appears with the necessity of developing educational measures from both institutions, so that they could re-enforce and develop professional training among students and teachers from both schools. There were some activities done as well, such as the offer of educational activities for both schools, the planning of some events together as seminars, conferences, etc. The organization of permanent ativities in Mexico and Spain. En la Universidad del Valle de Atemajac, Campus Puerto Vallarta, estudiantes de Bachillerato con luces, instrumentos y el nacimiento para el Niño Jesús trasformaron la explanada principal, ahí recibieron a sus padres, hermanos, amigos e invitados especiales a su Celebración Navideña. Con vestuarios de varios colores y formas navideñas, los grupos de jóvenes participantes del taller de danza coreografiaron las canciones navideñas, interpretadas por el coro y orquesta de la división de Bachillerato de esta Casa de Estudios. Fueron más de 50 estudiantes talentosos los que deleitaron con sus voces y expresión corporal. Más tarde en la explanada de la cruz, se tenía preparado todo un festín de antojitos mexicanos, típicos de ésta celebración decembrina, como tamales, buñuelos, ponche, atole y dulces. El maestro Eduardo Castelo Ceica, jefe de Bachillerato y la maestra María Magdalena Bustamante Andalón, coordinadora del área, recibieron a los padres de familia e invitados de los jóvenes estudiantes, en todo momento la atención por parte de las autoridades académicas fue amena y respetuosa.

In the University of Valle of Atemajac, Campus Puerto Vallarta, the high school students transformed and decorated the open area of the school with lights, instruments and the traditional nativity representation and received their parents, siblings, friends and special guests to celebrate Christmas. Dressed up with fancy colours and Christmas forms, the young groups of participants of the dancing workshop performed some Christmas songs which were sang by the school’s choir and the orchestra from the Senior High School of this Studying House. There were more than 50 talented students delighting the audience with their voices and body expression. Afterwards in the open area with the form of a cross, there were some Mexican dishes typical from this celebration such as tamales, sweet hollow fritter, punch, hot maize drink and candy. Teacher Eduardo Castelo Ceica, Head Master of the bachelor, and teacher María Magdalena Bustamante Andalón, area coordinator; received the parents and guests of the young students. The way the parents and guests were treated was respectful and funny.

La guapa jovencita Aisha Mariel Garibay Hernández vio cumplido su sueño de festejar sus 15 Años. Sus papás, los señores Rubén Garibay y Eva Hernández, le regalaron una bonita fiesta en el Jardín Terranova, el lugar ideal, el pasado 20 de diciembre. Antes de la fiesta, se llevó a cabo una misa de acción de gracias en el templo de La Divina Providencia, donde Aisha estuvo acompañada por sus padrinos Jacinto Monroy, Angélica de Monroy, Miguel Garibay y Erika de Garibay. La quinceañera abrió pista bailando con sus chambelanes Diego Álvarez, Pedro Pablo, José Luis Zárate y Kevin Quintero, las canciones “Thousand years” de Christina Perri y “Scheibe” de Lady Gaga. Los invitados saborearon el banquete servido para la ocasión a base de Crema de elote, Mar y tierra de ave bañada en salsa de champiñones y pastel. Posteriormente, se armó un gran ambiente celebrando este importante suceso para la festejada.

HAPPY XVTH ANNIVERSARY - AISHA MARIEL The young and beautiful Aisha Mariel Garibay Hernández made her dream come true while celebrating her fifteen anniversary. Her parents Rubén Garibay and Eva Hernández threw a nice party at Terranova Garden on December the 20th. Before the party, there was a thank-God mass in the Divina Providencia Temple, where Aisha was accompanied by her godparents Jacinto Monroy, Angélica de Monroy, Miguel Garibay and Erika de Garibay. The fifteen-year-old teenager opened the dance floor with her dancing partners Diego Álvarez, Pedro Pablo, José Luis Zárate and Kevin Quintero. They danced the songs “ Thousand Years ” by Christina Perri and “ SheiBe ” by Lady Gaga. The guests enjoyed the delicious feast served for the celebration. They had corn crème, Sea and Earth bird covered with mushroom sauce and after that, they enjoyed a piece of cake. Later on, all the guests and Aisha had fun while dancing and celebrating her birthday.

Their guests arrived at 8pm to enjoy the environment with the music that a DJ and the Coral Band played. There was a delicious dinner which was grilled meat. his month’s edition is prettied up by our friend Irving Contreras Plácito, a nineteen-year old boy whose zodiac is Cancer and who is going to start his career as an actor pretty soon. Acting is something he feels passionate about, and he cannot picture himself doing something different in life, but acting.
Irving describes himself as a very discipline person who demands himself a lot. He believes that this is good to reach his goals. He is really sure of what he wants in life. He decides what his limits are. He is also a very friendly person and he is always willing to support his friends whenever they need him. He is interested in knowing how the people around him are. He has always tried to be a positive person. He likes to learn something every day. One of his goals, as we already mention; is to act as soon as possible, and to devote his life to this activity whether it is in a filming set or on a stage. He would also like to travel around the world and know more about other cultures. Irving admires people who fight every day to be better, and who contribute and help others have a better life quality. His slogan is “ Never give up ! ” and the values he identifies with are respect, honesty, strengthen and positive attitude. Talking about the actual situation of the country, he says that Mexico is going through very difficult moment and that it is a shame to see that the authorities do not change their attitude towards progress. He thinks we need a definite change in all aspects. He mentioned, “ I think that our politicians just pay attention to their own needs and worry more about their own sake than to worry about what the country needs. ” For Inving, Mexico is a very rich country in several ways, and it has a lot to give to the world. He would love to see that Mexico is not considered a country with a lot of conflict, but a country of progress. His favourite book is “ Franccesco, a life between heaven and earth, ”because he has felt moved by it and he read it when it was the right time. About acting, he tells us that it is his passion and that there is nothing more satisfying than to do things with passion. He started acting when he was 15 in some school plays. He has been lucky to act with very professional people, therefore he has learnt a lot from them. Nowadays, he is acting in a TV series in the city of Toluca, Edo. Mexico, and in Mexico City. This was a project he had been waiting for a long time. He says that there is nothing more exciting than to listen to the countdown “5, 4, 3, 2…”
He thinks that the resolutions for 2015 shouldn’t be for just one day, December 31st. We need to have goals to be reached, and we need to try to be better people every day. About his experience as part of dos8, he said, “ It was something totally new for me. I had a lot of fun while shooting. All of the crew of dos8 are very nice and very professional. I think dos8 is a very good and entertaining magazine. I want to thank Crispo Aguilar who was the responsible of this and the photographer as well. It was a pleasure to meet him. He is a nice professional man, who enjoys his work and makes you enjoy it too. ”
a edición de este mes, viene engalanada por nuestro amigo Irving Contreras Plácito, un chico de 19 años cuyo signo es Cáncer y que pronto comenzará su carrera en el mundo de la actuación, ya que esta actividad le apasiona en todos sentidos y no se ve haciendo otra cosa en la vida, más que actuar.
Irving se describe como una persona disciplinada que se exige mucho a sí mismo para alcanzar sus metas y muy centrada en lo que quiere en la vida. Él mismo decide hasta dónde quiere llegar en la vida. Es, además, muy amiguero y está al pendiente sus amigos en todo momento, pues le interesa saber cómo están las personas que lo rodean y encontrar el lado positivo a las cosas. Todo los días le gusta aprender algo nuevo. Entres sus metas, se encuentran la de entrar a la carrera de actuación lo más pronto posible, para dedicarse por completo a ello, trabajando en un set de filmación o arriba de un escenario en teatro. Además, le encantaría viajar por todo el mundo y conocer nuevas culturas. Irving admira a las personas que luchan día a día para ser mejores, para aportar algo a los demás y tener una mejor calidad de vida. Su frase favorita en la vida es “ Nunca desistas ” y los valores con los que se identifica, son el respeto, la honestidad, la fortaleza y la actitud positiva. Sobre la situación actual del país, comenta que México está pasando por un momento muy desagradable para todos y que es lamentable el no ver una actitud de progreso por parte de las autoridades, por lo que es necesario un cambio radical en todos aspectos “Me parece que a nuestros representantes políticos, les es más fácil ver por sus propios bienes, antes que lo que nos estorba como nación”. Para Irving, México es un país rico en muchos aspectos y que tiene mucho aún que aportar al mundo. Le encantaría que en un futuro, no se vea a México como un país de conflictos, sino como un país de progreso. Su libro preferido, es “Franccesco, una vida entre el cielo y la tierra”, ya que es el libro que más lo ha marcado pues le llegó en el momento exacto de su vida. Sobre la actuación, nos platica que es algo que le apasiona mucho y no hay nada más satisfactorio que hacer algo son pasión. Comenzó a actuar a los 15 años en obras de teatro escolares, pero ha tenido la fortuna de actuar con gente muy profesional en todos aspectos, por lo que ha aprendido mucho. Actualmente está grabando una serie de televisión en Toluca, Edo. de México y parte del DF, en un proyecto que estuvo esperando mucho, pues no hay nada más gratificante que estar detrás de una cámara y escuchar el “5, 4, 3, 2…”

LORENA AND FRANCISCO FABIO’S CIVIL WEDDING The best place for the civil ceremony for Lorena Rubio Valdivia and Francisco Fabio Díaz González was the Terranova Garden, located on the way to the Vista Vallarta gulf course, and where everything was beautifully decorated. This made the guests enjoyed the ceremony which was held on December the 19th at 7:30 at night. Primer Festival Internacional de Pirotecnia Puerto Vallarta 2014. Del 25 al 31 de diciembre se llevó a cabo Luminiafest, primer festival internacional de pirotecnia en nuestro país. El gobierno municipal, el instituto vallartense de cultura y la asociación civil con el poder de hacer fueron los encargados de estos siete días de luz, color y música. Piromusicales y castillos pirotécnicos de Puerto Vallarta, estado de México y Francia como país invitado. Lila Downs, Cuca, Miky Laure Jr., Plastiko, Azul Violeta, Novus Aer, Los 3 Zenzontles y la Sonora Dinamita fueron solo algunos de los Grandes artistas que deleitaron a los Vallartenses y extranjeros con su música. The First International Festival of pyrotechnics Luminiafest was held from the 25th to the 31st of December in our country. The municipality government, the Instituto Vallerdense de Curltura ( Cultural Institute of Vallarta ) and the Asociación Civil Con el Poder de Hacer ( With the Power of Doing Civil Association ); were in charge of those seven days of light, colour and music. There were pyro-musical displays and firework from Puerto Vallarta, Estado de México and France; as the guest country. Some of the invited artists to the event were Lila Downs, Cuca, Miky Laure Jr., Plastiko, Azul Violeta, Novus Aer, Los 3 Zenzontles y la Sonora Dinamita, who performed some of their songs to make the Vallartian and foreign audience enjoy the event even more. Univa Vallarta ofrece posada a personal administrativo y docente Por Carmina López Martínez Por la noche los comensales llegaron a conocido hotel de ésta región, más de 150 personas conformaron un festejo navideño original, reflexivo lleno de fe, la Natividad del hijo de Dios, luz permanente que acompaña a la humanidad desde siempre. Sin embargo, a pie firme la comunidad de la Universidad Católica de Puerto Vallarta adoró al Hijo de Dios quien trajo amor y esperanza a una humanidad pecadora de origen y la cual con la conversión redimirá sus yerros. Los invitados a la cena navideña demostraron su enorme interés por fortalecer los valores cristianos de la Univa local. En espirales subieron los sonidos, música y cánticos tradicionales vistieron y determinaron el recuerdo de aquel que llegó a este mundo atendido en humilde pesebre hace más de dos mil años. Posteriormente a la cena, vino la rifa de regalos, la secretaria general del Sindicato del Instituto Superior Autónomo de Occidente, la maestra Ana Karina Cosío Vidaurri Martínez envió tarjetas canjeables en supermercados locales y tiendas departamentales, más de 100 cajas con obsequios fueron entregados a los asistentes a este magno evento que año con año se realiza para venerar al hijo del Todopoderoso.

150 dinner guests arrived at a well-known hotel of this zone at night and were part of the Christmas Party organized by Univa Vallarta. The event was an original and reflexive one, full of faith, where the birth of Jesus Christ and His light covered the earth and has been here ever since. The community of the University Catholic of Puerto Vallarta worshipped the Son of God, who brought love and hope to the human being because originally sin was part of their life. But the conversion redeemed their mistakes. The guests demonstrated great interest to strengthen their Christian values at the local Univa. In an spiral form, the sound, music and traditional Christmas Carols were raise to liven up the celebration and it also helped to remember the memory of the One who came to this world and who was given birth in a humble manger over two thousand years. After dinner, there were some gifts raffled. The general secretary of the Sindicate of the Instituto Superior Autónomo de Occidente, teacher Ana Karina Cosío Vidaurri Martínez; sent exchangeable cards from some local supermarkets and departamental stores, and more than one hundred gifts were delivered to the personnel at the event that year after year is celebrated to worship the Almighty!

Colegio Montessori Un hermoso festival navideño, fue el que llevó a cabo el Colegio Montessori el pasado miércoles 17 de diciembre en el Salón Elite, en el que en punto de las 5 de la tarde dio inicio el espectáculo en el que participaron los alumnos de preescolar, kinder y primaria, quienes presentaron lindos bailables alusivos a la Navidad. La directora Alejandra Vargas dirigió un mensaje en el que agradeció a los papás su gran apoyo para hacer este evento de lujo más y les deseó a los alumnos y sus familias una Feliz Navidad y próspero Año Nuevo. All the students from pre-school, kinder and the elementary school participated with wonderful performances related to Christmas. Preparatoria Regional de Puerto Vallarta El Salón Elite se vistió de gala para la fiesta de graduación de la Preparatoria Regional de Puerto Vallarta, Generación 20122014, en la que se lució como siempre con su excelente organización, decoración y servicio. Al evento, asistieron familiares y amigos de los graduados. Los alumnos realizaron una entrega de premios entre sus mismos compañeros en donde hubo distinciones como el más guapo, el más listo, la más distraída, etc. Posteriormente, realizaron un brindis para celebrar su graduación. ¡Felicidades!

Colegio Fernández de Lizardi El pasado 11 de diciembre en el marco de las fiestas navideñas, se llevó a cabo el Festival de Invierno del Colegio Fernández de Lizardi. El evento fue realizado en el Jardín Sam Carlos y contó con la participación de los alumnos de Primaria, Secundaria y Prepa, que presentaron el famoso cuento de “Anita la Huerfanita” en el que los estudiantes mostraron su gran capacidad para la actuación y el baile. Al finalizar la presentación del cuento, todos los participantes se tomaron la foto del recuerdo y también el personal administrativo del colegio. Un día antes, había sido llevado a cabo el festival de Maternal y Kínder en las instalaciones del colegio. WINTER FESTIVAL AT FERNÁNDEZ DE LIZARDI SCHOOL The previous 11th of December while the Christmas celebrations were held, the Winter Festival took place at Fernández de Lizardi School. The event was done at Sam Carlos Garden and many of the elementary school, Junior and Senior High School Students were there participating in the famous story of “ Annie ” ( Anita la Huerfanita) where the students showed their great capacity to act and dance. When the presentation was over, all the participants were part of a photo to remember this beautiful moment, including the administrative personnel. One day before the Winter Festival, the Kinder and the pre-school students celebrated their festival in the school’s facilities.

The party was held during the month of December, at Salon Elite located in El Fluvial. This party was given to celebrate the Christmas parties and the people enjoyed not only the great environment, but also a delicious dinner. They could taste corn cream, chicken breast with vegetables and cupcakes. During the event, there was a raffle where more than 40 gifts were given. The best assistants were also awarded with three Samsung tablets. Their names are Julio Hernández, Sonia Gálvez and Efrén Joya. When dinner was over, a DJ played the music which made everybody danced.
