THE PANSY PATCH

OCTOBER/NOVEMBER RECAP We started October with Theta’s Day of Service which celebrates our founder’s birthday, Bettie Locke. Some of the service activities our members participated in were making dog toys, writing letters to soldiers, selling donuts at the house to raise money for B positive, and so much more. Throughout the month we had so many fun sisterhood events. We had semi formal and multiple trivia nights with themes like Halloween movies, pop culture, and Disney Channel classics. We got to work out with our sisters at an orange theory class, went to the pumpkin patch, and had a successful homecoming week. At the end of October, we had a great time handing out candy to kids at Trick or Treat on Sorority Row. In November, we loved having our parents here for parents weekend. We decorated the house for Christmas, had more trivia nights with our sisters, and had a fun workout with a private cycling class.

OCTOBER & NOVEMBER LEADING WOMAN OF THE MONTH The October leading woman of the month is Katielynn Jones (top picture). She is a senior math major with a minor in cyber criminology. She helped plan the human trafficking awareness talk. Katielynn serves as the secretary for Chaarg, is the vice president of community service for Sigma Alpha Lambda, and has an internship with the Tuscaloosa Police Department. The November leading woman of the month is Molly Dover. She is a junior accounting major with minors in sales and Spanish. This past summer, she interned with Air Liquide in their finance department and just accepted an audit and assurance internship with EY in Chicago for Summer 2020. On campus, Molly is a member of NOMC, served as a mentor for the honors college, volunteered with Culverhouse LIFT, and currently works at the Capstone Center for Student Sucess as a tutor. We are so proud of our girls!

HOMECOMING WEEK We had a blast during homecoming week! The theme was Return of the Legends and we were paired with Sigma Delta Tau, Delta Chi, Sigma Alpha Mu, and Tau Kappa Epsilon. Our girls killed it in dodge ball and placed first. We also got first place in paint the town red thanks to our creative design chair for homecoming, Jocelyn Linwinko. Our pomp chair, Rachel Morroz, and our CPO, Kat Elliot, did an awesome job on our full sized pomp. It looked incredible in front of our beautiful house. Sophia Mobayen and Tyler Spivey choreographed an amazing homecoming dance routine. It was so fun to cheer our dancers on. We loved supporting our sisters and getting to show our Theta spirit during homecoming week.
