Social Justice Feb 20
S
ocial justice is an underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among nations. UN uphold the principles of social justice when we promote gender equality or the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants. UN advance social justice when we remove barriers that people face because of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability. For the United Nations, the pursuit of social justice for all is at the core of our global mission to promote development and human dignity. The adoption by the International Labour Organization of the Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization is just one recent example of the UN system’s commitment to social justice. The Declaration focuses on guaranteeing fair outcomes for all through employment, social protection, social dialogue, and fundamental principles and rights at work.

Taking Care of Your Teeth \«V·B ∂\VkVÁƒ
T
8.10.2018 he people all over the world are living longer. more people are keeping their teeth throughout their lives. Some diseases and conditions can make dental disease and tooth loss more likely. Most problems leading to teeth loss are caused by plaque. Plaque is a sticky layer of bacteria, bits of food and other organic matter that forms on teeth.
The bacteria in plaque damage teeth, gums and bone around the teeth. The most important thing one can do is to keep the teeth clean all the time by brushing. Brushing Tips There are many textures of brushes, many varieties of pastes and different methods to brush and keep teeth clean. Dentist can help choose the right one for each person. Here are a few general pointers about brushing. * Brush at least twice a day – once in the
morning and once at bedtime. * Brush no more than three times a day * Brush lightly * Brush for about 90 seconds only. * Have a standard routine for brushing * Change your tooth brush regularly Toothbrushes help brush away particles sticking on to tooth surface,
gums and tongue. Teeth size, alignment, dental work etc require special care to keep these structures in mouth clean. Hence large varieties of tooth brushes are available in the market for individual requirement. A dentist will help choose the best size, texture and design of tooth brush. Toothpastes are like soaps. Today many have special ingredients for preventing decay, plaque control, tartar control, whitening, gum care or helping sensitive teeth. some are made just for kids.
Flossing Many people never learned to floss, but flossing once a day particularly at bed time is important to healthy gums for many. Other Ways To Clean Between the Teeth * Interdental cleaners — These help clean teeth when large spaces exists between teeth and for those who have braces. * Mouthwashes and rinses —They are generally used like perfumes before a party. Many have therapeutic ingredients too. As with toothpaste, choice of mouthwash or rinse is best guided by the dentists. It’s not just brushing and flossing that keep your teeth healthy, Food also play a major role in it. It’s also important to visit the dentist twice a year. People who have fillings, dentures, bridge work, root canal treatment, crowns, braces, implants and any previous dental treatment should compulsorily visit the dentists for checkup and maintenance of the dental work. The main reason for going to the dentist regularly is “PREVENTION”.

Modi's historic quota bill notified
Will Ajinkya Rahane’s inclusion in the World Cup squad resolve Team India’s quandary?
n a shot in the arm for the government, the historic and landmark bill for the reservation for economically deprived and the weaker section in the general category was passed in both houses of Parliament by amending Article 15 and 16 of the constitution, being the 124th constitutional amendment. In the upper house, all the opposition parties backed the bill except the DMK amd IUML and 165 votes were polled in favour and 7 against. The legislation being new grounds to provide quotas on the basis of economic deprivation apart from the criterion of social and educational backwardness and 10% quota in educational institutions including
he ICC Cricket World Cup is nearly upon us. The Indians are just 5 matches away from their first World Cup match, against South Africa. The format of the forthcoming World Cup is a demanding one since it requires every team to play every other team once in the round-robin stage before the top 4 qualify for the semi-finals. This format cuts both ways. On the one hand, it gives teams plenty of matches to qualify while on the other hand, it demands consistent form and performances over a prolonged period of time. One slip up against a weaker team at the most inopportune time could be the end of the campaign for any team. Coming to the team compositions, for India, the first 12 players almost select themselves. They are: Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (C), Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, M.S. Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. The selectors will have to settle on a second wicket-keeper which will be a direct shoot-out between Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant. A backup seamer will have to be narrowed down on as well. After the prolonged failure of players like Khaleel Ahmed and Umesh Yadav, Vijay Shankar is in with a chance to occupy this spot and play the role of the second all-rounder in the team. That would rule out Ravindra Jadeja as the spinbowling all-rounder and the third spinner in the team. That leaves the last spot, that of the reserve middle-order batsman/reserve opener to be taken care of. In this context, the chairman of selectors M.S.K Prasad revealed that Ajinkya Rahane is in contention for a place in the World Cup squad and so are Rishabh Pant and Vijay Shankar. Factors favouring Ajinkya Rahane Technically sound Rahane is a technically sound batsman and his superior technique could come in handy in English conditions. He has the ability to build an innings even in unfavourable batting conditions. With his solid technique, Rahane could arrest a slide in case there is a toporder collapse. Play the dual role of a reserve middle-order batsman and a reserve opener : Rahane could be used both as a middleorder batsman as well as an opener if required. As an opener, Rahane has scored 1937 runs in 54 innings @ 36.55. At No 4, he has scored 843 runs in 25 innings at nearly the same average. Rahane is equally adept

private colleges and to provide jobs in government. The bill took a long delay of 10 years to implement the Mandal Committee report. The 8 lakh income cap and 5 acres in land holdings are not final asserted the government. In the meantime, the central government has asked state governments to prepare their criterion for exclusion on the existing quotas for S.C, S.T and OBCs. Meanwhile, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court by Youth for Equality Organsation and Kausal Kant Mishra sought the quashing of the bill saying that the economic criterion can not be the sole basis for reservation. The plea also said the said bill also violates the basic and fundamental

features of the constitutional reservation on economic grounds can not be limited to the general categories and the 50% ceiling limit fixed by the S.C can not be breached. The senior advocates Rakesh Dwiwedi, Rajeev Dhavan and Ajit Sinha raised some apprehensions of the 124 th amendment over the passing of the bill. The bill require an amendment in the Article 15 and also the Indira Sawhney judgement will also act as a legal deterrant in the decision of the government.

he vedas speak the truth eternal. The vedas consists 2 parts. The first part speaks about Karma Kanda and the second part Gnana Kanda. The first step of vedas is to know about Karma Yoga. You should perform any work without any fruit of actions which is Karma Yoga. The act done for the sake of money, status and fame and name is never Karma Yoga. The main motto of Karma Yoga is to practice
stilling the mind and make it at rest. To reach equanimity of mind is karma yoga. A person should learn Vedanta through well educated right teacher. By putting hard work, one should learn vedas completely in depth until we are confident in understanding various nuances. The third stage is to learn without any doubts and suspicions and pursue with faith. The teacher should clarify the doubts of his students with proper elucidations and make him
to understand with full confidence. The fourth stage is to follow strictly all the tenets as codified in the vedas. By incessantly practicing by meditation and proper breath control, one can achieve peace and immense pleasure. That is the final destination for all mankind and there is no substitute other than this. Ultimately, the brahmn is beyond words and mind,It is pure consciousness found in all beings. - S.Ganapathy
C. Namasivayam @ 94440 06343 at opening the innings as well as batting in the middle-order. Quality fielder : The one factor that’s always in favour of Rahane is that he is a much better fielder than even some of the youngsters in the team. In the current Indian team, only Jadeja and Kohli are better than him on the field. Rahane is an alert fielder in the slips and a safe fielder in the outfield. With the likely absence of Jadeja in the playing XI, Rahane along with Virat Kohli and Shikhar
scheme of things. Now, he might, at the most, get 5 matches to get into the groove before the World Cup. Inability to rotate the strike in the middle overs The general complaint about Ajinkya Rahane is his inability to rotate strike during the middle overs. This has a telling effect on his strike rate. He has struggled against quality spinners at home to take singles and rotate the strike. But he might thrive in English
Dhawan should shore up the Indian fielding in the World Cup. Record in England : In England, Rahane has scored 350 runs in 9 innings @ 38.89 with a century and a fifty. His average of 38.89 in England is much better than his overall average of 35.26. Ironically, in India, Rahane has averaged only 34 in 34 innings. The poor recent form of K.L. Rahul Rahane would not have come into the picture had K.L. Rahul let his bat do the talking. Rahul’s continuous run of poor scores and lack of opportunities have helped Rahane’s cause. Rahul has played in only 13 ODIs over the last 3 years. In contrast to the out-of-form K.L. Rahul, the more experienced Rahane could be a better option for Team India. Lack of other better options The other contenders like Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal are all relatively inexperienced to thrust into a mega event like the World Cup. It is too late for Team India to fall back on the experience of a Suresh Raina or a Yuvraj Singh. Besides, all these players are either regular openers or middleorder batsmen. Apart from K.L. Rahul, only Rahane can fit in both as an opener and a middle-order batsman. Factors against Ajinkya Rahane Lack of match practice Rahane last played an ODI one year ago, in February 2018. He has never truly been a part of Team India’s white ball
conditions where the role of the spinners is limited. Rahane is not a swift runner between the wickets either. Like Rahul, he cannot effectively contribute if he is slated to bat below No 4. Selectors thinking out-of-box As of now, the selectors are likely to select either K.L. Rahul or Ajinkya Rahane as the reserve batsman. However, they might decide to do away with that chain of thought by either selecting Vijay Shankar or Ravindra Jadeja as the second all-rounder in the team in lieu of a specialist batsman which would endanger Rahane’s chances. With the pressure mounting on the selectors to choose the hottest sensation, Rishabh Pant, they might even be tempted to go in with both Pant and Karthik in the squad. Both have been in the thick of the action of late and are in decent form. With only 4 players manning the boundary in the second powerplay overs between 11 and 40, a rampaging Pant could be an exciting option over a steady Rahane. But selecting 3 keepers in the squad would compromise the fielding standards and reduce the bowling options. To sum up, do the advantages of selecting Rahane in the World Cup squad outweigh the disadvantages? The answer would be in the affirmative, though just about. Rahane, if selected, could be a welcome addition to the Indian World Cup squad.
