STONE & GEM
I have taken this one step further with this Fleur de Lis logo cut diamond design, I have used a variety of purples and turquoise’ to create aspects of light and shade which gives the logo a 3D quality.

STONE & GEM I wanted to link the precious stones in with the more luxurious gems so decided to fuse the two together as a diamond shape, as this straight away appeals to women, I thought this would be the best imagery to concentrate as the shape is instantly recognised with jewellery.
STONE & GEM I decided that drawing diamond cut patterns would work better than using photographic elements to represent the logo. I have used purple and turquoise as these colours represent luxury, peace, confidence and integrity. Purple also has psychological effects on women associated with desire, which would draw in your female audience. However the colours are not that feminine attracting a male audience as well.

After submitting my design’s I was sent back some feedback saying the competition had been extended. She wasn’t a fan of the colours and thought the emblem was too large but needed to be more bold and sleek... Her feedback wasn’t that helpful and seemed a fairly contradictory, but I tried my best to come up with something she might like.
I researched other jewellery logos and found there were loads of black and white ones so decided to go for that in an attempt to make it more bold but sleek. I also reduced the size and tried it out in both black and dark grey.
