FIREWORKS BAN IN DOUGLAS COUNTY DOUGLAS COUNTY—This Fourth of July, please celebrate Independence Day without any sparklers, firecrackers or fireworks. On June 27th, the Douglas County Sheriff banned fireworks across the county because of the extreme drought, heat and multiple fires burning across Colorado. Sheriff David Weaver has ordered zero tolerance for law breakers.
