Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training HELP US CREATE A SUICIDE SAFER COMMUNITY Suicide touches many lives in many ways. The ASIST training is a world-wide suicide intervention first aid training appropriate for all caregivers . . . formal or informal. This training is recognized as a Best Practices skills based training through the National Suicide Prevention Resource Center and is a training program used to train all volunteers through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK).

A special training opportunity in ASIST is available to you!

Full 2-Day program that will teach participant suicide “first-aid” by recognizing a person at-risk, keeping the person safe, and assisting the person in seeking further help.  Practice-oriented and interactive learning experience.  Learn how to: recognize invitations for help, reach out and offer support, apply a suicide intervention model, review the risk of suicide, and link people with community resources 

WHO should attend the training: ANYONE! People concerned about family, friends, coworkers; natural helpers. (Must be at least 16 years of age) TIME: 7:30 am—4:00 pm each day, please arrive early the first day to complete registration and be ready to start the workshop at 7:30. Workshop dates in box above. (Attendance is mandatory for both FULL days)
