Overview
Maintains over 150 miles of roadways, right-of-way, and over 4,000 street signs.
24 Hour On-Call Service
Our Street Team provides 24 hour support for city roadways. This includes inclement weather situations as well as assisting 911 with traffic control when necessary.

FLEET MAINTENANCE
Overview
Fleet maintains and services over 100 city vehicles and other maintenance equipment.
A new maintenance program was initiated this year, “Drive Through Thursdays” in which all Public Service vehicles are inspected once a month to identify and schedule routine maintenance items.

employee was the first to complete the newly developed entry-level driver training program. This program is a federal prerequisite for earning a CDL.

Implemented monthly department wide safety meetings. These meetings cover a variety of risk management topics and tips.
Our Streets Department completed GDOT’s flagger certification in December 2023.
Five Supervisors from the department completed Carl Vinson’s “Succeeding as a Supervisor” five week training course.
