EDITOR’S THOUGHTS The powers that be, would have us to believe that we are in an economic recession. Big businesses have outgrown their true sizes and instead of revamping their profit expectations they would rather go out of business. It is a sad state that we are in as a country, but it’s in reality a rebirth. America is not getting smaller so monies that for years have gone to majors are now available for redistribution to indies, what does that mean? Thanks to technology the big piece of pie can now be broken down to smaller pieces to share with the masses. For entertainers that means you no longer have to pimp yourself out for a record deal, you can create a team of your own and make your own way. The Down South Music Review magazine is committed to helping independent artist achieve their goals. Advertising in this magazine will guarantee exposure in areas you can't reach. Let us help you get the word out about you! This snippet issue is just in time for both the Southern Entertainment Awards in Tunica, MS and the HOODNIC in Dumas, AR. Enjoy the spotlights placed on Playaz Production Record Label, Sophisticated Urban Fashions and K.E.V of Joker entertainment — if your looking for movers and shakers in Central Arkansas you can start with them. Tell them you saw them in the DSMR magazine and they’ll hook you up. I'll say this in every issue — Long live the south!

Advertise in the Down South Music Review magazine; let us help you maximize your promotion dollar by assisting you in targeting the demographic you are trying to reach. Contact us via email to discuss your goal and we’ll help you customize a plan to get the word out about you.
