John and Mike have owned Kleppers for the past 21 years, which was originally founded in 1920 and celebrated their 100thanniversary last year.

What about York’s past/present/future inspires you?

We’re inspired by the previous growth of services in the area and the continuous redevelopment projects that are occurring in the Downtown.

How would you describe York in one word?

We’d describe York as “progressive, spirited, or dynamic.”

What has been your proudest moment while in Downtown York?

When we acquired Kleppers and moving the business forward to celebrate 100 years in business.

What do customers love about your work/business?

Our customers return to us because of our amiable staff, reliability, reputation, longevity of business, and the full range of security services and products offered.

Favorite spot to eat in Downtown?

Central Family Restaurant (400 N George St) or White Rose Bar & Grill (48 N Beaver St).

What are you most excited about for the future of Downtown York?

The additional businesses coming to the area, as well as infrastructure improvements.
