Άργοσ - Argos Ο ζθύινο θαη ζηελ αξραία Διιάδα είρε ηδηαίηεξε ζεκαζία. Ήηαλ από ηα ιίγα δώα γηα ηα νπνία είραλ δεκηνπξγήζεη κύζνπο. Λεγόηαλ όηη ν ζθύινο ήηαλ δεκηνύξγεκα ηνπ ζενύ Ζθαίζηνπ, γηα απηό ηνλ εθηηκνύζαλ πνιύ. Σνλ εμεκέξσζε ν ζεόο Απόιισλ θαη ηνλ δώξηζε ζηελ αδειθή ηνπ Άξηεκε, γηα λα ηνλ ρξεζηκνπνηεί ζην θπλήγη.
