VIRTUAL QUICK CRAFTS FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Is your preschooler bored at home playing with the same toys? If so, join us virtually each Tuesday to create a new craft. Interactive instruction will be provided through Zoom. Each participant will receive an email at least two days before the program begins with a link to join. The supplies for each week will be available for contactless pick-up each Tuesday from 2pm-5pm at W.D. Hill Recreation Center. VIRTUAL LIFE LESSONS FOR TEENS

This four week course will provide an introduction to basic life skills that teens will need as they graduate high school and transition into the “real world.” Some of the skills that will be introduced are resume building, how to apply for jobs/college scholarships, and basic money management. VIRTUAL GIRL SCOUT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

The Girl Scout organization believes a girl can embrace her inner G.I.R.L. (Go-Getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, and Leader) while building important life skills. This program is open to all girls and will provide the Girl Scout leadership experience and include topics such as financial literacy, STEM, emotional health, and healthy living. Previous participation in Girl Scouts is not required. Supplies will need to be picked up from Edison Johnson Recreation Center on April 1. My Durham Teen Programming

"For Teens, Built by Teens,” that’s how we roll! Durham Parks and Recreation offers free, drop-in programming and activities Monday-Friday for all teens between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. From gardening, video game tournaments, and indoor hockey to park clean-ups, crafts and job readiness, we are providing a place for the teens in our community to have fun, hang out, and be active!
